Simply select a percent of maximum (%MAX) heart r ate that matches your zone and the fitness goal you want to achieve during a particular exercise .
3. Press MODE until your desired mode appears . Y ou can view heart rate information in Time of Day , Chrono , or Timer Modes . 4. While standing at least six feet (two meters) away from other heart r ate monitors or other sources of r adio or electrical interference , press the HEART RA TE button on your W atch.

NOTE: T o quickly change the value being set, press and hold ST ART/SPLIT (+) or HEART Rate (-). 11 5. Make the desired adjustment as indicated in the table on the next two pages . 6. v With the chronograph or timer running along with the Digital Heart Rate Sensor , you can change the Time of Day Mode display by pressing HEART RA TE.
To O perat e the C hron o 1. Press MODE until CHRONO appears . 2. Press and hold ST OP/SET/RESET to clear any Chrono data. 3. Press ST OP/SET/RESET to choose between Lap or Split time format display . Y ou cannot select a display format if the chronogr aph is running or is not reset.
v The Zone T r ainer bar allows you to gr aphically view where your heart is in relation to the low and high ends of your selected target heart r ate zone. A left arrow ( t ) will blink if you go below the target heart r ate zone and a right arrow ( u ) will blink if you go above the target heart r ate zone .

R E C O V ER Ab out Re cov ery Hea rt Rat e Heart r ate recovery provides an indicator of fitness and tr aining level. As you become more fit, your heart r ate should return more quickly to a lower heart rate value at the end of your activity , indicating a higher level of cardiovascular fitness .
