52 Battery compartment HOW TO INSTALL AND REP LACE BATTERIES IN THE TEMPE RATURE TRANSMITTER The Outdoor Temperature transmitter uses 2 x AA. IEC LR6, 1.5V batteries. To install and replace the batteries, please follow the steps below: 1. Remove the battery cover at the front side with an appropri ate screwdriver.
53 BATTERY CHANGE: User shall replace batteries of the tem perature station when the battery low indicator is displayed at the LCD. If user does not replace batteries, working error m ay be resulted . Note: • After changing batteries in temperature station, there is no need fo r user to reset the temperature station.
54 Note: If the indoor temperature and hum idi ty are not displayed after 15 seconds, rem ove the ba tteries and wait for at least 2 minutes before reinserting them. A lso ch eck if the battery has been used up. U ser is recommended to use new alkaline batteries to the units.
55 7. If after 10 minutes, the DCF time has not been received, press and ho ld the OK ( ) key for 3 seconds to enter the Set up m ode for manual ti me setting. The clock of the tem peratur e station will automatically attempt to receive the DCF tim e at midnight.

61 LCD CONTRAST SETTING: The LCD contrast can be set within 8 levels, from LCD 0 to LCD7 (Default setting is “LCD 5”): 1. In normal display, press and hold the OK ( ) key unti l t he digits “Lcd” starts flashing. 2. Use the Plus (+) and Minus (–) key to view a ll l evels of contrast.
62 TIME ZONE SETTING: The time zone default of the Tem peratur e Station is “0”. To set a different time zone: 1. Press and hold the OK key until the digits “Lcd” starts f lashing . 2. Press shortly the OK key one m ore ti me to enter the time zone setting.
63 DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME SETTING 1. Press and hold the OK key until the digits “Lcd” starts f lashing . 2. Press shortly the OK key two times to enter th e daylight saving time setting. The digit “dS” will be flashing. 3. Use the Plus and Minus key to set the daylight saving tim e function to “On” or “Off” m ode.
64 TIME RECEPTION ON/O FF SETTING: In area where reception of the DCF tim e i s not possible, the DCF tim e reception function can be turned OFF. The clock will then work as a norm al Quar tz clock. (Default setting is ON). 1. Press and hold the OK key until the digits “Lcd” starts f lashing .
65 12/24-HOUR FORMAT SE TTING: The time display can be selected to show hours in 1 2-hour or 24-hour settings. (Default 24-Hour) 1. Press and hold the OK key until the digits “Lcd” starts f lashing . 2. Press and release the OK key four tim es to enter the time form at setti ng.
66 Hour flashing Minutes flashing MANUAL TIME SET TING: In case the Temperature Station cannot detect the DCF-signa l ( for exam ple due to disturbances, transmitting distance, etc.), the time can be manual ly set . The clock will then w ork as a normal Quartz clock.
67 Note: The unit will still try and receive the signal eve ry day despite it being manually set. When it does receive the signal, it will change the manually set time into the rece ived time.
68 4. Press the OK key one more time to confirm the ye ar and advance to the m onth setti ng. The month digit will be flashing. 5. Use the Plus and Minus key to set the m onth. 6. Press the OK key one more time to confirm the month and advance t o the day setting.
69 RECORDING INTERV AL (hr:min) SETTING The time intervals at which the temperature and hum idi ty data saved to mem ory can be set to one of the following: 1-minute; 5-minute; 10-minute; 15-m inu te; 20-m inute; 30-minute; 1-hour; 2-hour; 4-hour; 6-hour; 8-hour; 12-hour or 24-hour.
70 1. Press and hold the OK key until the digits “Lcd” starts f lashing . 2. Press and release the OK key eleven tim es to enter minute setting of the recoding interval. The min in the record LCD will be flashing. 3. Use the Plus and Minus key to set the desired recor ding interval.
71 3. Press Plus to get in Learn/ Rem ove setti ng of channels. The channel icon “1” w ill be flashing. 4. Press OK key ( ) to select another channel, if necessary (1-5).
72 Up to 5 outdoor transmitters can be received by the tem peratur e station. User m ay decid e the number of transmitter data to be save to the perm anent memory of the temperature station. For instant, user may apply 5 transmitters but set to save the data only from parti cular 3 transm itter s.
73 TOGGLING BETWEEN D IFFERENT CHAN NELS (INDOOR AND OU TDOOR CHANNELS): 1. Press the Plus or Minus key to toggle between the Tem perature an d hum idi ty readings of the indoor channel and the outdoor transm itter channel(s).
74 VIEWING VARIOUS TYPE OF TEMP/HUM DITY READINGS OF A SE LECTED CHANNEL: After a particular channel (the indoor sensor or one of the outdoor transm itter s) has been selected by pressing the Plus or Minus key, the following m odes of data may be viewed by user: a.
75 b. The Min temperature an d Min humidi ty In normal display mode, press the m ode key two times. The minimum temperature and humidity measured by the channel, and the date and tim e of the minimum te mperature recorded will be displayed. The “min” icon will be flashing.
76 c. The average value of th e last 100 set s reading In normal display mode, press the m ode key thre e times. The average temperature and hu midity value of the data which have been saved in the system memory will be displayed. The “avg” icon will be flashing.
77 d. The dew point tempera ture In normal display mode, press the m ode key four times. The dew point tem perature will be displayed next to the flashing “td” icon.
78 e. The history data sets o f temperature and humi dity In normal display mode, press the m ode key five ti mes. The “hist” icon will be f lashing and the last recorded temperature and hum idi ty reading with the time of record will be displayed.
79 CALIBRATION OF TEM PERATURE AND HUMIDITY RE ADING The temperature station allows user to calibrate the displayed tem perature and humidity readings by a better reference. User may enter the correction of tem peratur e reading and hum idi ty reading in the range of ±2°C and ±10% respectively.
80 To calibrate the tempera ture reading: 1. Press the Plus or Minus key to select a channel (the sensor at the tem perature station or one of the outdoor transmitters) 2. Press shortly the Mode key for six tim es. The cali bration icon will be flashing.
81 To set the high humidi ty alarm: 1. In nor mal display, press the Plus or Minus key to select a channel (the sensor at the tem peratur e station or one of the outdoor transmitters) 2. Press and hold the Alarm key for about 3 second to enter high humidity alarm setting.
82 2. Press and hold the Alarm key for about 3 second to enter high humidity alarm setting. Then press the Alarm key shortly one more time to enter the low hu midity alarm setting. The hum idi ty digits, low limit icon and the alarm ico n will start flashing.
83 3. Press the Mode key to select to “activate” or “deact ivate” the low temperature alarm. (“Alarm On” or “Alarm Off” icon will be displayed) 4. Press the Plus or Minus key to set the desired value of th e low temperature alarm point.
84 CLEAR DATA IN THE TEMP ERATURE STATION CLEARING THE MAX/M IN TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDIT Y DATA OF A PARTICULAR CHANNEL To clear the max/m in data of a channel: 1. Press the Plus or Minus key to select a channel. 2. Press and hold the Mode key for 3 second.
85 1. Press and hold the Mode key for 5 second. The maximum and minimum tem peratur e/ humidity data and the time of record will be reset to the current value.
86 3. The running digits will be displayed for about 6 m inutes, followed by the full segment display. User is then required to remove and re-insert batter ie s to com ple te the restart the unit. Note: All data in tem peratur e station will be cleared after the factory reset.
87 The display will show some running digits when the temperature station is reset. Full segment will be displayed- user need to remove and re-insert batteries to restart the temperature station.
88 After batteries are re-inserted, the station will autom atically launch the learn mode. The signal receipt indicator will be displayed. User needs to set again the tem perature sta tion for the desired applicat ion.
89 CHECKING FOR 433MHz RECE PTION If the outdoor temperature data is not being re ceive d within three m inutes a fter setting up (or outdoor display show “- -. -” in the outdoor section of the Tem peratur e Station after 3 failed attem pts during normal operation), please check the following poi nts: 1.
90 POSITIONING THE TEMP ERATURE S TATION: The Temperature Station provides the option of tab le standing or wall mounting the unit. Before wall mounting, please check that the outdoor tem per ature(s) can be received from the desired location(s). To wall mount: 1.
