Safety instructions 30 DO NOT DRINK THE WATER RESIDUES WHICH MAY BE PRESENT INSIDE THE DISHES OR DISHWASHER AT THE END OF THE WASHI NG PROGRAM AND BEFORE THE DRYING CYCLE. Installation instructions 31 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene basket retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up against walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 32 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water p ipe is new or has not been used for a long time, before connecting to the wa ter supply check that the water is c lear and free of impurities, to prevent damage to the appliance.
Installation instructions 33 2.2 Electrical connection and precautions CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONE D ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 35 3. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher has been correctly install ed, prepare for use as follows: x Adjust the water softening system; x Add the regenerating salt; x Add the rinse aid and deter gent.
User instructions 36 x Do not use tabl e salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. x When necessary, refill the r egenerating salt container before starting the washing program .
User instructions 37 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automaticall y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 38 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, light ly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 39 x "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which already contain salt and rinse aid, check whether your dishwasher is fitted with the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and t hen refer to the section which explains how to use this funct ion.

Long items of cutlery (ladles, wooden spoons, k itchen kn ives, etc.), which mi ght interfere w ith the upper spray arm must be placed in the upper basket , ensurin g that knife tip s do not pro ject from th e basket.
User instructions UPPER BASKET It is rec ommended t o load the upper bas ket with small- or medi um-sized items s uch as glasses, small plates, te a or coff ee cups, shallow bowls and light objects made fro m heat resi stant plast ic.
User instructions 45 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA SKET Version A: the upper basket can be adjusted in two positions , according to the user’s needs and according to the h eight of the dishes in the lower basket.
User instructions 46 Version C: the top basket can be set in three different positions on both sides. The rack must be level on both sides. To raise the basket lift it, pulling on the front edge (1) , to the first or second catch depending on the height required.
User instructions 47 4. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, always disconnect the appliance from the electrical power supply. 4.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasive detergents.
User instructions 48 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT x It is advisable to periodically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip the tabs, turn them anticlockwise.
User instructions 49 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: x Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside t he water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water supply tap for a few minutes. x Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions 50 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: x there is rinse aid inside the special c ontainer; x the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; x the detergent used is of good quality an d has not lost its effectiveness (for example, through incorrect storage, with the box left open).
