Safety instructions 30 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHW ASHER DOOR WHEN OPEN M A Y CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHWASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT. Installation instructions 31 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up against walls or oth er furniture units.
Installation instructions 32 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long time , before connecting to the water supply check that the water is clear and free of impurities, to pr event damage to the appliance.
Installation instructions 33 2.2 Electrical connection and precautions CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 35 3. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepa re for use as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deter gent.
User instructions 36 • Do not use tabl e salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r egenerating salt container before starting the washing progra m .
User instructions 37 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.

User instructions 41 Items which are not dishwasher-s afe: • Wooden dishes, p ots or pans: these may be dama ged by the high washing temperatures. • Handcrafted items: thes e are rarely suitable for washing in a dishwasher. The relatively high water temperatures and the detergents used may damage them.
