2 9.Power cord protection —The power cords must be routed properly to prevent people from stepping on them or objects from resting on them. Check the cords at the plugs and product. Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or snagged by items placed upon or against them.

Placing the product on an unstable base can cause the product to fall, resulting in serious personal injuries as well as damage to the product. 9 Getting started Remote control TV functions Most of your television’s functions are available via the menus that appear on the screen .The remote control supplied with your set can be used to navigate through the menus and to configure all the general settings.

13 Manual channel set-up Follow the procedure given on this page if you find that some channels have not been stored during the initial set-up. This can happen if you are setting up cable network channels. Setting up channels manually requires every setting for a particular channel to be entered, one at a time.

18 Teletext The Teletext service is available in many countries under a variety of names (TOP Text, Fastext, FLOF text,Videotext). It is provided as a free service by television broadcasters. This service provides a real wealth of information, available at any time, on weather, sports results, news, games, etc.
19 Subtitles Some channels provide subtitles for some of their programmes. The number of the relevant pages is specified on the Teletext index page. To display subtitles, enable the Teletext function, find the number of the page displaying the subtitles and enter it.
20 6. OTHER INFORM ATION Sockets SCART socket AV1 (input-output) on the back side of the TV set. This socket can be used to connect a range of equipment, including video recorders, camcorders (VHS or 8-mm), decoders, satellite receivers, DVD players, games consoles or appliances producing an RGB signal.
21 Connecting headphones Use the relevant socket on the right side of the LCD TV set to connect headphones or stereo earphones. Connecting a video recorder To obtain optimum picture quality, use a SCART cable. However, you can also connect a video recorder to the television using the aerial socket.
