T o Po wer your W eatherGuide ™ Base Unit Y ou r W e ath erG uid e™ ba se un it may be powered by ei the r an AC adaptor (included) or 2 AAA batteries (not included). Adaptor po wer – insert the connector end of the adaptor into the jack on the side of the base unit.
If the t ransmis sion is su ccessfu l, the r emote sens or read ings and a “ ” icon w ill appe ar on the base u nit. If dashes a re still di spla yed on the receiver unit, press the Tx button again.

Atomic Clock a nd Calendar Y our W eatherGuide™ has a radio-controlled clock/calendar that sets itself to the radio signal transmitted b y the U.S. Atomic Clock located in Colorado . T o synchronize the atomic clock: 1. P ress an d hol d the “-P MCE/ RCC ” button on the back of the base unit.
7 How to Set the Cl ock Manuall y T o man ually set the clock: 1. P res s and hol d the “SET/ AL ” butto n. The u nit wil l beep . 2. Pr ess “+C/F” or “-PMCE/RCC” to set the seconds to zer o. Press “SE T/AL ” to en ter . 3. Pr ess “+C/F” or “-PMCE/RCC” to cha nge the ho urs.
Tip: Hol d down th e “+C /F” or “-PMCE /RCC” buttons to a dvance the dig- its quickly . Daylight S avings T ime – to t urn D ST on, press “MODE” until “OFF” appears in the c loc k dig its. P ress an d hol d the “SET/AL ” button until it switches to “ON”.
2. Press and hold the “SET/AL ” button. The unit will b eep and the a larm’ s hour digit s will flash. 3. P ress “+ C/F ” or “ -PM CE/ RCC ” to change the hours. Press “SET/AL ” to enter . The minutes will flash. 4. P ress “+ C/F ” or “ -PM CE/ RCC ” to cha nge the minut es.
T o turn off the alar m: Press “MODE” until the Alarm displa y ap- pea rs. Pres s the “S ET/ AL ” butt on. Th e ala rm ico n wil l dis appe ar . The a lar m is turned off. Snooze f eature Pr ess the “Snooz e/Ligh t” button o n the top of the base unit to silence the alarm for 5 minutes.
11 How to r ead your W eatherGuide™ The base unit displa ys indoor conditions from its location. The remote unit will trans mit weather readings fr om its location back to the base unit. Alt erna tely , the remo te se nso r’ s probe cord may be use d.

Comfort Le vel Readings Y our W eather Guide™ c ombine s temper atur e and hum idity r eadin gs to determine an indoor comfort lev el. If the displa y shows WET or DR Y condition s, you ma y wish to adju st indoor tempe rature or humidity conditions to reach a com for table reading.
Humidity T rend Indicator s Y our W eatherGuide™ will indicate if humidity lev els are rising, falling, or steady . indicates Rising Humidity r eadings (humid- ity has gone up mor e than 2 degrees i.
Moon Phase and Tide The Moon pha se will autom atically displ a y acc ording to the current calendar . Tide levels w ill display as High, Medium or Low based on the curr ent Moon Phase . New Moon - The Moon's dark side is facing the Earth. The Moon is not visible (except during a solar eclipse).
Backlight F eature The base unit has a backlight for easy vie wing of the screen. Press the “Snooze/Light” button to turn the backlight on for 3 seconds. 21 T ransmission Collision Signals f rom othe r household de vices, such as do orbells, home s ecurity systems and entry controls, ma y interfere. This is normal and does not affect the general performance of thi s product. The transmission will resume once the interf erence recedes.
