All serverboard jumpers and connections are also described. A layout and quick reference chart are included in this chapter for your reference.

Chapter 6: Advanced Chassis Setup 6-1 Chapter 6 Advanced Chassis Setup This chapter covers the steps required to install components and perform mainte - nance on the SC825TQ-R740LPB chassis. For component installation, follow the steps in the order given to eliminate the most common problems encountered.

Chapter 6: Advanced Chassis Setup 6-3 6-3 System Fans Three 8-cm hot-swap fans provide the cooling for the system. It is very important that the chassis top cover is properly installed and making a good seal in order for the cooling air to circulate properly through the chassis and cool the components.

Chapter 6: Advanced Chassis Setup 6-5 SA T A Drive Installation These drives are mounted in carriers to simplify their installation and removal from the chassis. The carriers also help promote proper airow for the drives. For this reason, even empty carriers without hard drives installed must remain in the chassis.
6-6 S UPER S ERVER 6028R-TR/TRT User's Manual Hard Drive Backplane The hard drives plug into a backplane that provides power , drive ID and bus termi - nation. A RAID controller can be used with the backplane to provide data security . The operating system you use must have RAID support to enable the hot-swap capability of the hard drives.
Chapter 6: Advanced Chassis Setup 6-7 6-5 Power Supply The SuperServer 6028R-TR/TRT has a 740 watt redundant power supply consisting of two power modules. Each power supply module has an auto-switching capability , which enables it to automatically sense and operate at a 100V - 240V input voltage.

Chapter 7: BIOS 7-1 Chapter 7 BIOS 7-1 Introducti on This chapter describes the AMI BIOS setup utility for the X10DRi/X10DRi-T . The ROM BIOS is stored in a Flash EEPROM and can be easily updated. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the AMI BIOS setup utility screens.
7-2 S UPER S ERVER 6028R-TR/TRT User's Manual How to Start the Setup Utility Normally , the only visible Power-On Self-T est (POST) routine is the memory test. As the memory is being tested, press the <Delete> key to enter the main menu of the AMI BIOS setup utility .

Highlight System Date or System Time using the arrow keys. Enter new values using the keyboard. Press the <T ab> key or the arrow keys to move between elds.

7-8 S UPER S ERVER 6028R-TR/TRT User's Manual No PCIe Port Active ECO Use this feature to select a workaround setting to implement the engineering- change order (ECO) on the system when PCI ports are not active. The options are PCU Squelch exit ignore option and Reset the SQ FLOP by CSR option.
Chapter 7: BIOS 7-9 Coherency Support (Isoch) Select Enable for the Iscoh VT -d engine to pass through A TS to enhance system performance. The options are Enable and Disable .
7-10 S UPER S ERVER 6028R-TR/TRT User's Manual Memory Conguration Enforce POR Select Enable to enforce POR restrictions on DDR4 frequency and voltage pro - gramming. The options are Auto , Enforce POR, Disabled and Enforce Stretch Goals. Memory Frequency Use this feature to set the maximum memory frequency for onboard memory modules.
Chapter 7: BIOS 7-1 1 Rank Interleaving Use this item to select a rank memory interleaving method. The options are Auto , 1-W ay , 2-W ay , 4-W ay , and 8-Way . A7 Mode Select Enabled to support the A7 (Addressing) mode to improve memory per - formance.

Chapter 7: BIOS 7-13 XHCI Hand-Off This is a work-around solution for operating systems that do not support XHCI (Ex - tensible Host Controller Interface) hand-off. The XHCI ownership change should be claimed by the XHCI driver . The settings are Enabled and Disabled.
