The antenna is usually mounted on the outside of the vehicle. 3. Long-Range T ransceivers: These include commercial radio and TV br oadcast antenna towers and amateur (HAM) radios.

Be aler t to the danger of motor vehicles on r oads or in parking lots. 1. At night, or when it is hard to see, use reflective tape on y our chair and clothing.

20 21 930483 Rev . A 930483 Rev . A F . FOOTRESTS 1. At the low est point, footrests should be at least 21/2 inches off the ground. If set too LO W , they ma y “hang up” on obstacles you can expect to find in normal use. This ma y cause the chair to stop suddenly and tip forward.

This makes the steps easier and helps ensur e a correct set-up . 2. Fasteners: • Many of the scr ews and bolts on this chair are special high-str ength fasteners and ma y hav e special coatings.

31 930483 Rev . A X. OPERA TING GUIDE 2. T o Pro gram Y our Chair : a. T urn off pow er to the chair . b. Insert QTR ONIX Programmer plug (A) into the Programmer/Charger socket (B) on the fr ont of the joystick. c. T urn on power to the chair; program as needed.
33 930483 Rev . A 32 930483 Rev . A Note: If your speed becomes hard to manage, release the J oystick and the chair will come to a complete stop. • When you r elease the joystick it will return to neutral; the chair will slow to a stop and the motor locks will reengage.
