• This water filter must only be used with municipally treated water . Do not attempt to filter untreated, raw water or water of unknown quality . • Filter replacement is essential for the product to perform as represented. The filter must be replaced every eight weeks.

U s i n g y o u r W a t e r F i l t e r & C h i l l e r Before using your Water Filter & Chiller • Carefully unpack the appliance and check that all the components are included. • Remove the filter cartridge and keep in a safe place. • Remove the lid and filtering tank and wash in warm soapy water , rinse and wipe dr y .
U si ng yo u r W at er Fi l te r & Ch il l er (c on t in ue d) Preparing the BRIT A ® MAXTRA filter cartridge for use • Remove the cartridge from its wrapping (it is normal for the cartridge to appear moist). • Immerse the cartridge in cold water and agitate gently to remove any air bubbles (see figure 1).

Using the Memo function It is important to change your filter cartridge regularly to enjoy the benefits of filtered water .
Removing the filter cartridge • When it is time to replace the cartridge after 8 weeks use, simply lift the ring pull handle on top of the cartridge to remove. (See figure 5). • The cartridge may be disposed of in household waste or contact the BRIT A ® consumer service for advice on recycling schemes.
