1. Safety in struc tions » These safety in struc tions ap ply to all per sons within the range of ac tion of the equip ment. Please in form all per sons within the range of ac tion of the equip - ment of the di rect and in di rect haz ards con nected with the equip ment.
1.1. Warn ings and sym bols The fol low ing warn ings and sym bols are used in these op er at ing in struc tions: » This sym bol in di cates dan ger to life! Fa tal or se ri ous in jury is pos si ble if the cor re spond ing in struc tions, reg u la tions or warn - ings are not ob served.
1.2. Ex pla na tions and in for ma tion Var i ous terms and des ig na tions are used fre quently in these op er at ing in struc - tions to en sure clar ity. There fore please note that the term s used in the text stand for the cor re spond ing ex pla na tions listed be low.
1.3. For your safety · It is ab so lutely nec es sary that you ob serve the op er at ing in struc tions for the cor - re spond ing con vey ing sys tem. · The de vice is in tended ex clu sively for con vey ing plas tic gran ules and regrind. Any other us age is not per mit ted.
2. In stal la tion in struc tions » These in stal la tion in struc tions are in tended for per sons with skills in elec tri cal and me chan i cal ar eas due to their train ing, ex - pe ri ence and re ceived in struc t ions.
In stall the equip ment such that all parts ar e eas ily ac ces si - ble; this fa cil i tates main te nance and re pair work. 2.1. Trans port For trans port, only the ap pro pri ate lift ing gear should be used (e. g. fork lift or work shop crane). » Ob serve the car ry ing ca pac ity of the lift ing gear.
2.2. Set-up The ar range ment of the hop per load ers may v ary de pend ing on the type of de - vice to be con veyed on and the ma te rial used. Fas ten ing onto fixed ma chine throats is pro vided by means of strap re tain ers.
2.3. Com pressed-air sup ply For op er at ing the con trol valves and the clean ing unit, a com pressed-air sup ply is nec es sary. L Depressurize com pressed-air sup ply lines which must be opened. F Com pressed air must be dewater ed, dustfree and oilfree.
2.4. Elec tri cal con nec tion » The elec tri cal con nec tion may only be car ried out by trained per - son nel. Other per sons are not per mit ted to carry out t he elec tri cal con - nec tion. The rules of the lo cal elec tric ity board m ust be ob served.
3. Func tional de scrip t ion » This func tional de scrip tion is in tended for all op er at ing per son - nel of the equip ment. Pre req ui site for this func tional de scrip tion is gen eral knowl edge of con vey ing units. En sure in each case that the op er at ing per son nel are suf fi - ciently in formed.
3.1. Gen eral The con veyor hop per is used for the au to matic con vey ance of freely flow ing plas - tic gran ules, regrind and pow der. The hop per can only func tion in con nec tion with a sin gle-sta tion vac uum con vey ing sys tem . The con veyor hop per func tions ac cord ing to the prin ci ple of suc tion con vey ance.
3.2. Con trol ler CSP The set ting for the con vey ing time and the line clear time are made v ia the keys (A1: “change-over” key, A2: “ ar row key”) on the front of t he con trol sys tem. The val ues which have been set will be dis played on the dis play (B).
4. Putting into op er a tion » This chap ter is in tended for op er at ing per son nel. Pre req ui site for this chap ter is gen eral knowl edge of the op er a - tion of con vey ing units. Also pre req ui site for this chap ter is t hat the func tional de scrip - tion has been read and un der stood.
4.1. Set ting the con trol l er SSP & It is only pos si ble to set t he pulse du ra tion / time in ter val when the unit is not con vey ing any ma te rial. Set ting the pulse du ra tion Press the “ar row key” . & The pulse du ra tion (= du ra tion of a clean ing pulse) which was last se lected ap pears in the dis play.
4.2. Alarm Mes sages dis played on the con trol ler SSP If a dis tur bance oc curs in the unit , an alarm mes sage will be is sued. & An “E” ap pears in the dis play and an er ror num ber.
5. Main te nance » This chap ter is in tended for per sons with skills in elec tri cal and me chan i cal ar eas due to their train ing, ex pe ri ence and re ceived in struc tions.
L Dis con nect the equip ment from mains sup ply be fore start ing main te nance pro ce dures to en sure that it can not be switched on un in ten tion ally. Depressurize all com pressed air pip ing of the equip ment be - fore start ing main te nance work.
5.1. Main te nance in ter val s Daily: check warn ing signs on equip ment for good leg i bil ity and com plete ness. Weekly: check the main te nance unit check the op er at ing pres sure in the fac tory ductwork sy s tem (max.
5.2. Re placing the out let f lap seal ing ring » Stop the con vey ing pro ce dure. Switch off the hop per by means of the on/off switch on the con - nec tion hous ing. Switch off the con vey ing con trol by m eans of the main switch. Dis con nect the unit from mains sup ply.
5.2.1. Ad just the flap sw itch Re move the con nect ing plug “flap switch” from the con nec tion hous ing of the hop per. Con nect an ohm me ter t o PINS 2 and 3 of the con nect ing plug “flap switch”. Re lease the nuts (A) of the flap switch (B) un til the sup port can be dis placed.
5.3. Cleaning the hop per loader » Stop the con vey ing pro ce dure. Switch off the hop per by means of the on/off switch on the con - nec tion hous ing. Switch off the con vey ing con trol by m eans of the main switch. Dis con nect the unit from mains sup ply.
5.4. Cleaning/re plac ing the f il ter car tridges of the clean ing unit » Stop the con vey ing pro ce dure. Switch off the hop per by means of the on/off switch on the con - nec tion hous ing. Switch off the con vey ing con trol by m eans of the main switch.
Re moval Open the ten sion ring (A). Re move the hop per loader lid. Re move the clean ing unit. Re lease clamp ing de vices of the fil ter car - tridges.
