1. Safety in struc tions » These safety in struc tions ap ply to all per sons within the range of ac tion of the equip ment. Please in form all per sons within the range of ac tion of the equip ment of the di rect and in di rect haz ards con nected with the equip ment.
1.1. Warn ings and sym bols The fol low ing warn ings and sym bols are used in these op er at ing in struc tions: » This sym bol in di cates dan ger to life! Fa tal or se ri ous in jury is pos si ble if the cor re spond ing in struc t ions, reg u la tions or warn ings are not ob served.

2.1. Trans port The unit is de liv ered as a com plete sub-assembly. Trans port the unit on a pal let. Lift the unit only by the wall sup port flange (B) or by t he hop per loader (A) . Use only suit able lift ing gear (e.g. hoist ing crane or fork lift).
2.2. In stal la tion For in stal la tion, the wall sup port f lange (A) is used. F In stall the saf ety fil ter by means of four screws which guar an - tee a car ry ing ca pac ity of at least 50 kg (110.
2.3. Com pressed air sup ply For op er a tion of the valve, a com - pressed-air sup ply (1/4“) is needed. Check com pressed air pip ing for cor rect in stal la tion and as sem bly. Check fit tings, length and qual ity of the hose con nec tions for agree - ment with re quire ments.
2.4. Elec tri cal con nec tion » The elec tri cal con nec tion may only be car ried out by trained per son nel. The reg u la tions of t he lo cal Elec tric ity Board mus t be ob - served. All work must be car ried out with t he unit dis con nected fr om volt age and pres sure sup ply.
Con nect the ca ble to the plug of the SFC-K’s clean ing valve. Ob serve the con nec tion di a gram: F Con nect the plug t o the clean ing valve of the saf ety fil ter and fas ten the safety screw.
3. Main te nance » This chap ter is in tended for per sons with skills in elec tri cal and me chan i cal ar eas due to their train ing, ex pe ri ence and re ceived in struc t ions.
L Dis con nect the equip ment f rom mains sup ply be fore st art ing main te nance pro ce dures to en sure that it can not be switched on un in ten tion ally. Depressurize all com pressed air pip ing of the equip ment be - fore start ing main te nance work.
3.1. Main te nance in ter val s Daily: Check warn ing signs on equip ment f or good leg i bil ity and com plete ness. Check the oil level in the oiler. Empty the wa ter sep a ra tor . Check op er at ing pres sure of the plant’s sup ply net work (5-6 bar sys tem over pressure).
3.2. Cleaning the col lect ing bin L For clean ing of the col lect ing bin, the plant should be switched off. Open the tog gle-type fas ten ers (A). Re move the col lect ing bin (B) from the sup - port. Clean the col lect ing bin (B). Place the col lect ing bin (B) back in the sup - port.
3.3. Re placing/ cleaning the fil ter car tridge in the hop per loader » Stop the con vey ing pro ce dure. Switch off the con vey ing sys tem at the main switch. In ter rupt the mains sup ply. Set all com pressed-air lines at zero pres sure. & The con vey ing ca pac ity is di min ished by a clogged fil ter car - tridge.
In stall the new fil ter car tridge on the hop per lid. F Use a new lock nut. Tighten the lock nut with 20 Nm. Mount the lock ing pin. Place the hop per lid with the fil ter car tridge on the hop per loader.
3.4. Re placing t he seal ing rings » Stop the con vey ing pro ce dure. Switch off the con vey ing sys tem at the main switch. In ter rupt the mains sup ply. Set all com pressed-air lines at zero pres sure. Nonreturn valve Open the tog gle-type fas ten ers (A) be - tween the hop per lid and the hop per loader.
Out let flap Open the tog gle-type fas ten ers (A). Re move the col lect ing bin (B) fr om the sup port. Re move the old seal ing ring (C) f rom the noz zle of the m a te rial out let. In stall the new seal ing ring (C). F Ob serve the di rec tion of in stal la tion (D).
3.5. Re placing/ clean ing the fil ter car tridge of the out let con tainer F The fil ter car tridge can also be r e placed/cleaned dur ing op er - a tion. Be cause of ac cu mu la tion of dust, Ster ling rec om - mends that you switch off the safet y fil ter.
