10 Section 1: Getting Started Data Retention It is vita l to keep your bat ter y ch arg ed. Bec ause y our PPC6 600 does not have a hard dr iv e, all data and any new progr ams you install are stored in RAM. If the batter y completely drains, any data or new prog rams you installed will be erased.
11 Section 1: Getting Started - or - Plug the A C Adapter into the optional USB cable head and then connect your PPC6600 dir ectly to an e xter nal pow er source. - or - Plug the A C Adapter into the optional A C Adapter Conv er ter and then connect the sync connector of your PPC6600 directl y to an external pow er source without using the cradle.

(The PPC6600 will pow er up and, if this is the r st time it has pow ered up, will automatically begin the initiation/calibr ation process.

The difference between writing and drawing on the screen is how you select items and how they can be edited. For example, selected drawings can be re- size d, while writing cannot.

Call Histor y can also tell you when a call was initiated, how long it lasted, and provides easy access to any notes taken dur ing the call.
