14 Do not attempt to mo ve the unit unless it is i n the folded and loc ked position. Be s ure the power c ord is sec ured to av oid poss i b l e damage . Use bo th ha ndrail s to maneu v er the u nit to the des ired pos it ion. To Fold The Tre ad mill: Mak e certain the treadmill is at minimum inclin e .
15 Getting f amilia r w ith the control pane l XT600 / XT800 Console Getting star ted: Po wer the treadmi ll on by pluggi n g it into an ap propri a te wal l outlet, the n turn on the power switc h loc ated at the front of the treadmil l below the motor hoo d.
16 Quick-Start Operation: STEP 1: Press and rel ease the Start key to wa ke d isplay up (if not alre ady on ). Note : I nstalli ng the tether key will also wake up the console. STEP 2: Press and rel ease the Start key to begin belt movement, at .5 mph, the n adj ust to the desi re d speed using the Fast / Slow keys (con s ole or hand rail ).

21 How to wea r your w ireless c hes t strap transmitter: 1. Attach the transmitter to the elasti c s trap using the locking part s . 2. Adjus t the strap as tightly a s pos sible as long as the strap is n ot too tight to remain co mfortable.
22 Selecti ng a Hear t Rate Control Program: You hav e the option, during the setup mod e, to ch oos e eit h er the W eight Co ntrol (H-1) p rogr am o r the Cardi o vas cular ( H-2) program. W eight Control attempts to maintain y our h eart rate at 70% o f your Maximum Heart Rate.
