12 1. Power off the camera and turn the camera SD Card slot fa ces you. 2. Inser ting the SD card, ensuring you o rient it correctly — please see the silkscreen beside the SD card socket. T o re move the SD card, push the SD card i nside and the SD card is re leased from the slot.
13 Recharging the Battery with the USB Port of your PC: 1. Switch off the camera. 2. Conne ct the cam era to the USB Port on your PC with the USB cabl e (included). T he charging indi cator will ligh t red. 3. After a period of time, the charging indicator will turn off.
14 2. Camera Settings Checking Camera Status Turn on th e camera, a nd view the camera LCD screen to check which camera sett ings are active. If the feature i con is not displa yed, it means that parti cular fea ture is no t activated.
15 Setting Date & Time The curren t date and ti me can be recorded, and stored with th e images or vide o clips. It is al so be used to make Date / Time S tamp on pictur e. Y ou can chang e the Date & Time setting by the fol lowing steps: Turn on the camera, press “Mode” bu tton and sel ect “Confi guration ” Menu.
16 During fo rmat, the LCD displa ys “Formatting Pl ease Wai t”. After format, the menu is back again . In the Playb ack mode, LCD will show “NO IMAGE” on screen .
17 Turn on the camera, press “Mode” bu tton and sel ect “Confi guration ” Menu. Go down to “Lig ht Freq.”, select between “50 Hz” and “60Hz” light frequency .
18 3. T aking Pictures T aking a Picture 1. Turn on the ca mera and make sure it is i n Capture mode. Now is rea dy to take picture s. 2. Fr ame your subject using the LCD scr een. 3. Press the Shutter button to take a picture, holding the cam era steadily .
19 Digital zoom ap plies to all still pictures until you manually tur n it ba ck, a nd can be continuously in video mode. Zoom + Zoom - Turn on the camera and make sure it i s in Captu re mode. Press the “Up (Z oom In)” or “Down (Zoom Out)” key to zoom in and out.
20 Note: The numbers are a lso be i nfluence d by the complexity of the picture. Scene complexity affect s a pi cture’s file size. For example, the file size of a picture with trees in autumn is l arger than that of the blue sky at the same resolution setting.

23 4. Recording Video Clips Recording a Video Clip 1. Turn on the ca mera and make sure it is i n Video Recordi ng mode. Now is ready to r ecord vid eo. 2. Fr ame your subject using the LCD scr een. 3. Press the Shutter button to start video r ecording.

Press “Menu” button and use “up”/ “down” button till the cursor on “White Balance” in the m e nu on the LCD Screen, then use “Left” and “Right” to choose “AWB”, “Sunny”, “Cloudy”, “ Tungsten”, “Fluorescent 1 ” and “Fluor escent 2”.
26 5. Reviewing Pictures and Video Clips Thumbnail Display and Viewing Turn on the camera and make sure it i s in Pl ayback mode. Press “OK” button to display 6 pictures of thumbnail for picture or vide o. Use “Up ”, “Down”, “Left” and “Right” ke ys to select thumbnail for playback or go to next / previ ous thumbnail page.

31 Uninstall Camera Driver (for Windows® Users Only) 1. Unpl ug the camera from your PC 2. Go to W indows® Control Panel 3. Doubl e cli ck Add/Remove programs 4. In Add/Re move programs, select “ STK01 4_V2.01 ” and cl ick the remove button. 5. Restar t the computer.

36 Software Included with your Camera The software CD contains the fo llowing software: 1. PC Camera Driver (For Windows® Users Only) This is a MS Windo ws dri ver for the camera. After installing this driver and restarting Windows, the di gital camera can be used as a PC webcam function.
37 9. T ransferring Pictures and Video Clips to a Computer 1. Make sure the USB Connection under the “ Configurat ion” Menu ha s been set to “Mass Storage” mode. Otherwise, change i t to “Mass Storage” accordi ng to the pro cedure descri bed i n “Camera Settings” cha pter.
