GB 10 Triple-di al-control operation The Triple-di al-contro l allows you to adj ust or set var ious shooting adju stment items, sim ultaneo usly, on a singl e screen. Even tho ugh you can set these fun ctions s eparately on t he menu s creen, us ing the Triple-d ial-co ntrol, you can adjust these func tions in teractive ly on the same scree n.

GB 13 Triple-dia l-cont rol Settings modes available What yo u can set with each Settings mode a re desc ribed he re. indicate s the def ault sett ing. • You can set the exposure compensation by turning the control dial R when [Anti Motion Blur], [Sweep Panorama], or [3D Sweep Panorama] is selected.
GB 14 You can set the en larged posi tion for manual focusing. You can adjust the scaling with soft ke y B or C. Control di al L (Mu lti) The camera uses the 25 AF area s and focuses automatic ally. • When the Face Detection function is active, AF operates with pr iority on faces.
GB 15 Triple-dia l-cont rol Control dial L AWB ( Au to W B) The camera automatical ly detects a light source and adjusts the color tempe rature. (Daylig ht) I f you select an option to suit a specific light sour ce, the color tempe rature is a djusted for the lig ht source (preset white bala nce).
GB 16 D-Range Settings Control w heel (Off) Does not use [DRO/Auto HDR]. (D-Ra nge Opt.) By dividing the image into small areas, the camera analyzes the contrast of light an d shadow between the subject and the background, pr oducing the image with t he optimal brigh tness and gradation.
GB 17 Triple-dia l-cont rol Creativ e Style Sett ings Control dial L (St andar d) For shooting vari ous scenes with rich gr adation and beautiful color s. (Vivid) T he saturation and contrast are heightened for shooting striking images of colorful scenes and subjects such as flowers, spring greenery, blue sky, or ocean views.
GB 18 (Clear ) For capturing images i n a clear tone wi th limpid colors in the highlighted area, suitable for capturing radiant light. (Dee p) For capturing images wi th deep and dense color expressions, suited to capturing the solid presence of the subject.
GB 19 Triple-dia l-cont rol Picture Effect S etting s Control dial L (Off) Does not use the Picture Effect function. (Toy C amera ) Creates the look of a Toy Camer a photo with shaded corners and pronounced colors. You can set the color tone with the control dial R.
GB 20 You can change the mod e of the func tion assi gned to [Cus tom Settin gs 1, 2, 3]. Assign the func tion by selecting MENU t [Setup] t [Fun ction Settin gs] t [Custom Sett ings 1, 2, 3]. When [ Creative S tyle] or [White Balanc e] is a ssigned to [Cust om Set tings 3 ], you can make a fine adjustme nt with soft key B.
Custom key assignment You can assi gn the funct ions you freq uently use to any one of 4 keys. T his will be handy as you can call up the f unction b y just p ressing the key.

GB 40 The came ra combines 6 shots at high spe ed into 1 sti ll image, s o camera shake is reduced whi le also prevent ing noise. By treat ing the person (sub ject) in the foreground a nd the backgrou nd separate ly, both camer a shake and subject blur are reduced.
GB 41 Others In the P, A, S, or M mode, you can adjust the e xposure even wh en recording movies. Th is enables you to prod uce more c reative expr ession, by r educing the focus on the background, a djusting the brightness, etc. • The sound of the lens and the camera in operation will also be recorded.

GB 45 Others • The flash modes may be limi ted also by conditions other than the shoo ting mode. • Even if you select a workable f lash mode, the flash does not fi re unless it is raised. • You cannot use the wireless flas h with the built-in flash.
GB 46 Number of recordable images • When “0” (the number of recordable image s ) flashes in yellow, the memory card is full. Repl ace the memory card with another one, or del ete images in th e current memory ca rd.
