9 SIM card When you r egister as a subscriber with a networ k opera tor, you get a SIM (S ubscriber Id entity Module ) card. Th e SIM card cont ains a computer c hip that keeps t rack of your phon e number, t he services included in your subscr iption, an d y our contacts i nformation, a mong othe r things.
