35 Viewing st ill images Watching images on a TV screen If you wa nt to view ima g e s on a T V, you need a TV having a video in put jack and the A/V co nnecti ng ca ble (sup pl ie d). The colo r system of the TV must match as that of your di gital still ca m era .

65 Still ima g e editi ng Changing image s ize – Resiz e Mode se le ct or : You ca n ch ange the im ag e size of a recor ded imag e, and s ave it a s a ne w file. You can re siz e to the fol low ing sizes. 5.0M, 3.1M, 1.2 M, and VGA. The orig inal i mage is r etained even aft er resizing.

87 Troublesh ooting Troubleshoo ting If you have trouble w i th your cam era, try the follo win g so lu ti ons. 1 Check th e items on page s 87 to 93. If the screen shows “C: ss : ss ,” the self-di agnosi s functi on is working. Please see p age 96.
88 Shooting still imag es / movie s The power turns off suddenly. • If you do not opera te the came r a for about 90 second s whil e the pow er is on , the came ra turns off automa tically to pr event wearin g down th e battery (wh en [Power Sav e] is [Off], after three minute s.
89 Troublesh ooting The image is too bright. • You are shooting a spot l ighted su bject in a dark locati on such as on a stage. • The bri ght nes s of the LCD scree n is to o high. p Adjust the expos ure (page 46). p Adjust the brig htness of the LC D scre en (page 103).
90 Viewing im ages Deleting/editin g an image The F va lue and shutter speed flash wh en you press and hold the shutter button halfway down. • Th e exposure is inc orrec t. p Correct the exposure (page 46). Symptom Cause Sol ution The image ca nnot be played back.
