Do not touch the surface. • Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or heat sour ces such as hot air ducts, or leave it in a car parked in direct sunlight as the temperature may rise considerably inside the car .

8 US Quick Guide to Disc T ype Discs that can be played back on the Unit differ , depending on the model you are using. The kinds of disc that you can use on the Unit are as follows.
9 US 9 US Example of discs that the Unit cannot play The Unit cannot play the following discs: – A disc that has a non-standar d shape (e.g., card, heart) – A disc with paper or stickers on it – A disc that has the adhesive of cellophane tape or a sticker still left on it.
10 US Chapter 1 Getting Started This chapter pr ovides you with information how to connect and setup the Unit. Setting up the System Y our system has already been installed by an installer . If you want to change the configuration, the TV or the audio equipment, check the location of the VIDEO out jack, the LINE IN jack, and the IR IN/OUT jack.
11 US Chapter 1 Getting Started Selecting a method for using the remote Connections between the Unit and each device ar e made via cables or cor ds coming through the wall. Y ou can operate a component using the remote if the IR IN/OUT terminal of the Unit and the component are connected.

18 US Chapter 2 Parts and Controls Preparing the r emote I nsert two R06 (size-AA) batteries into the battery compartment with the + and – corr ectly oriented to the markings. When using the remote, point it at the IR sensor on the Unit. Notes • Under normal conditions, the batteries should last for about six months.

44 US Chapter 8 Other Functions T o obtain the best possible surround sound, set the size of the speakers you have connected and their distance from your listening position. Then use the test tone to adjust the volume of the speakers to the same level.
