17 US Getting Started Step 2: Conn ecting the Syste m For conn ecting the sy stem, read the information on the following pa ges. Do not con nect the AC power cord (mains lead) of the unit to a wall outlet (main s) until all the other connect ions ar e made.
18 US Getting Started The co nnecto rs of the speaker cords ar e color- coded de pending on the type of sp eaker. C onnect the speaker cord s to match the color of the SPEAKERS jacks o f the unit. To connect speaker cords to the unit Fully in sert the speake r cord connecto rs into the u nit.

20 US Getting Started To install the front speaker at an upward angle The fr ont spe aker c an be tilted up ward by atta ching the foo t pad. Th is is us eful f or pro jecting the so und upward when installi ng the front speaker on a low rack or low TV stand, etc.
21 US Getting Started This conne ction s ends a video signal to the TV. Depending on t he jacks on your TV, select th e connection meth od. Method 1: HDMI cable ( A ) connection If your TV has an H DMI jack , conn ect to the TV wi th an H DMI cabl e. Pi cture q uality will b e impr oved compar ed to usi ng the vi deo cord conne ction.
22 US Getting Started This co nnection sends an au dio sig nal to the un it from the TV. To lis ten to TV so und via the system , perform th is connection. With a digita l audio connecti on, the system re ceives a Dolby Dig ital multiplex bro adcast signal a nd you can e njoy mu ltiplex broadca st sound .
23 US Getting Started When you connect the system and other compone nts to the TV, video si gnals fr om the sy stem an d the compon ents ar e sent to the TV, and audio si gnals f rom th e compo nents ar e sent to th e system as follow s. 24 US Getting Started To connect the antenna (aerial) Ti p • I f you ha ve poor FM recep tion, use a 75-o hm coaxial cab le (not supplied) to connect the unit to an outdoor FM anten na (aeria l) as shown below.
25 US Getting Started Step 3: Conn ecting to the Netw ork Connecting th e system to the Inter net allows you to watch Inte rnet vi deo, lis ten to In ternet audio, use BD- LIVE, and update the Ho me Thea tre Syst em soft ware . Use a LAN cable to co nnect t o the LAN (1 00) terminal on the unit.

28 US Getting Started 5 Attach the panel cover to the rear of the unit. Put the corner of th e panel c over on ( C ), then slide i t inward until i t clicks into p lace. Thread the FM wi re antenna (aer ial) through the small indenta tion of the panel cover.
