It’s purpose, aside f rom r ecomm ending standard oper ating procedures and routine service requirem ents, is to prom ote SAFETY through the use of accepted operating practices .
6 SECTION 2 - CONTROLS Before operating, become familiar with all the controls ( See Figure 2.1A ) an d how t o use th em. Know beforehand how to STOP the Right Hand and Left Hand T raction Wheel Driv es, the Mo wer Blades, and th e Engine in preparatio n for a possible emergen cy .
7 SECTION 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.1 PRE -STA RT CHECKLIST Make the f ollowing checks and per form the services as required bef ore each start-up. IMPO RTA NT: Before starting your SNAPPER Pro Hydro machine, the hydraulic reserv oir and engine MUST be filled to the proper level with oil.
8 SECTION 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 3.2 STOPPING IMPO RTA NT: Pulling backward on both T raction Controls back past Neutral pos ition will cause the mac hine to back up. 1. Pull back on both Tr action Controls simultaneous ly towards handle bar. Manually engage the Neutral Latch Lever.

18 SECTION 4 - SERVICE WA RNING Once bla des are dise ngaged, they should come to a complete stop in 7 seconds or less. If the blades continue to rotate after 7 se conds, the ele ctric clutch must be checked. Replacement of elect ric clutch may be necessary.

23 SECTION 6 - BA TTERY SERVICE & TESTING WA RNING Shield the positive terminal w ith terminal cov er located on battery harness. This prev ents metal fro m touching the positiv e te rminal, which could cause sparks. Cables must b e connected to bat tery terminals in the proper position.

The labels on those engines contain very important emissions information and critical safety warnings.
