6 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 PRE-STA RT CHECK LIST Make the following c hecks and per form the service required bef ore each start-up. 2.1.1. Chec k guar ds, deflec tors, grass bag, adapter and covers to mak e sure all are in plac e and securely tightened.
7 ENGINE SPEED CONTROL MOVE TO CHOKE POSITIO N Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.2 ST A RTING & OPERA TION 2.2.1. ENGINE & B L ADE (Choke Models) 1. Move f uel shut of f valve to the “ON” pos ition. See Figure 2.5. NOTE: Stop the engine (and blade) by releasing the blade control.
8 Section 2 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.4 HA NDLE HEIGHT A DJUSTM ENT The height of the m ower handle can be adjusted as follows: 1. Loosen the lower nuts on each lower handle as shown in Figure 2.8. FIGURE 2.8 2. Move upper m ower handle up or down until the desired position is achieved.

G rass Bag and Bag Adapter or Rec y c ling Cover mus t be rem oved. 1. Rem ove front and rear nuts that secure Bag Adapter or Recycling Cover to deck.
