Handset Se t up Gigaset 880 0 H andset T he Gigaset 880 0 handset is used exclusively on the Giga set 8825 sy stem. Up to a total of eight handsets may be added. Handset S etup Before using y our handset, follow these steps: Cordless Handset Registr ation T he cordless handset that comes with the s ystem is prer egistered to the base station.
At the B ase Station: 1 Press . 2 S croll to S ystem S ettings? and press . 3 Enter the default PIN ( 0 0 0 0) and press . 4 S croll to Change S ystem PIN? and press . 5 Enter a 4-digit PIN (do not use # or *) that is eas y to remember and press .
If y ou subscribe to Caller ID from your local telephone company , complete the steps belo w for you r 7 -digit or 1 0-digit dialing area. If you do not have C aller ID , skip this section. At the B ase St ation: L OCA L DIALING AREA 1 Press . 2 S croll to S y st em S ett ings? and press .
