4 T he Proper ly Equipped Oper a tor Always wear a harness when operating the unit . It adds comfort and helps ensure safety by limiting movement fore and aft. When the harness is adjusted properly , the unit should balance with the cutting attachment parallel to the ground.
5 Be Aware of the Wor king En vir onment Avoid long-term operation in very hot or very cold weather . Make sure bystanders or observers outside the 15 meter (50 feet) “danger zone” wear eye protection. Be extremely careful of slippery terrain, especially during rainy weather .

8 Throttle lever free play 4-6 mm (3/16”-1/4”) Throttle Free Play Adjust throttle lev er fr ee play The throttle lever free play should be approximately 4 - 6 mm (3/16” - 1/4”). Make sure that the throttle lever operates smoothly without binding.

19 Adjusting Engine Idle The engine must return to idle speed whenever the throttle lever is released. Idle speed is adjustable, and must be set low enough to permit the engine clutch to disengage the cutting attachment.
