The ScyT ek VisionGuard 6000 is a combination vehicle security and remote starting system f eaturing a built- in "ScyNet Network P ort" that allows direct connection of optional accessory modules and a PC interface offering expanded system oper ation.
Standard Remote Transmitter Description The VisionGuard 6000 is compatible with the optional 5-button R emote T ransmitters used to control system operations. Note : Using the optional PC or P ocket PC interface with the network softw are, it is possible to reconfigure the functionality of the tr ansmitter buttons.
Adding/Replacing Transmitters T o replace lost or stolen transmit ters or to add additional transmitters into the system, ha ve all desired transmit ters ready and follow the steps below . Note : Up to 4 transmit ters can be programmed to oper ate the system.
Page 4 - VisionGuard 6000 True Color 2-way Camera Ready Remote Transmitter Description The VisionGuard 6000 True Color 2-way LCD remote transmitter, is offering increased range and confirmation of any activated features. Button 1 Arms the system. Button 1 also locks the doors when the system is in Valet Mode.

Page 8 - VisionGuard 6000 Remote Arming The system monitors 6 independent areas ( zones ) while armed: doors, hood, trunk, shock sensor , optional sensor input, and the network port for future expansion. T o Arm the System: 1. T urn off the ignition. 2.
VisionGuard 6000 - Page 9 Tamper Alert If the system was triggered while awa y , the LED will flash to indicate which zone triggered the system after disarming and turning on the ignition.
Page 10 - VisionGuard 6000 Panic Mode In the event of an emergency the tr ansmitter’s remote P anic feature can be used to instantly trigger the alarm. T o activate the P anic Mode: 1. Press and hold Button 1 for 3 seconds. · The alarm will sound. · The parking lights will flash.
VisionGuard 6000 - Page 11 T o set the Emergency Override Code: 1. T urn on ignition. 2. Within 5 seconds, press the valet switch 5 times. · The siren will provide one long chirp, indicating that y ou have entered Progr amming. 3. Press the valet switch 4 times.

Press and hold Button 4 for three seconds. · The parking lights will flash 4 times and turn on. · The Siren will chirp 4 times. · The engine will start and run for the dur ation of its programmed Run Time.
VisionGuard 6000 - Page 13 Turbo Timer Feature The T urbo Timer feature allows vehicles with turbocharged engines to remain running after the ignition key is removed, f or proper cool-down of the turbocharger . The T urbo Timer feature requires connection to the vehicle’ s parking brake wire.

Page 16 - VisionGuard 6000 Mounting the Control Unit The control unit must only be mounted in the interior of the vehicle. Do not mount the main unit in the engine compartment.
VisionGuard 6000 - Page 17 S y s t e m W i r i n g 6-Pin Starter Harness Pin 1 RED WIRE A : Main Power Input A (+). Connect to the battery or constant power wire at the ignition switch with a minimum 25 Amp supply . R emo v e the fuse until the installation is complete and all wiring is check ed.

VisionGuard 6000 - Page 19 Jumper Selection Carefully separ ate the top and bottom halves of the main unit case. Once the cov er is removed, the parking light polarity jumper will be visible next to the parking light relay . Set the jumper for the correct polarit y output as described below , then reassembly the main unit case.
Page 20 - VisionGuard 6000 Entering System Programming This system is compatible with both the optional LCD tr ansmitter or the standard AM transmit ter , all system programming can be perf ormed using either one. T o enter System Progr amming: 1. T urn on ignition.
VisionGuard 6000 - Page 21 5. Ignition Door Unlocking. Selects whether or not the system automatically unlocks the doors when the ignition is turned off . The Ignition Door Locking f eature may be programmed to unlock all doors or the driver’ s door only .
Page 22 - VisionGuard 6000 8. Passive Door Locking. Selects whether or not the system will automatically lock the doors during P assive Arming and Auto Rearming mode. 9. Passive Arming Entry Delay. When selected, the siren will chirp for 10 seconds before sounding if a door is opened.
VisionGuard 6000 - Page 23 Diesel Engine. Sets the engine type f or Diesel and monitors the glow plug input to make sure the glow plugs are warm before cr anking the starter . If the glow plug wire is not connected, the built-in timer waits 15 seconds before automatically cr anking the starter .
