15 R Section 4 HILLSIDE OPERA TION 4.7 W ARNING DO NO T operate on steep slopes. T o c hec k a slope, attempt to back up it (with the cutter deck down). If the machine can bac k up the slope without the wheels slipping, reduce speed and use extreme caution.

23 R Section 6 TRA CKING ADJUSTMENT CA UTION Stop the engine and remove the key from the ignition before making any adjustments. W ait for all mo ving parts to come to a complete stop before beginning w ork. CA UTION The engine and drive unit can get hot during operation causing burn injuries.
24 R Section 6 CUTTER DECK ADJUSTMENTS 6.6 Cutter dec k le vel, pitch and height are set at the f actor y . Howe v er , if these adjustments should e ver need to be made, the follo wing procedures will aid in obtaining the proper cutter deck adjustment.

26 R Section 6 ELECTRIC CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT 6.7 The electric clutch ser ves two functions in the operation of the mo wer . In addition to star ting and stopping the power flow to the cutter blades, the clutch also acts as a brak e to assist in stopping b lade rotation when the PT O is switched off or the operator presence circuit is interrupted.

28 R Section 7 HYDRA ULIC SYSTEM 7.2 A. CHECKING HYDRA ULIC OIL LEvEL The h ydraulic oil le vel should be chec ked after the first 10 hours of operation. Thereafter , check the oil after e very 200 hours of machine operation or monthly , whichev er occurs first.

30 R Section 7 ENGINE FUEL SYSTEM 7.4 D ANGER T o av oid injury from burns, allow the mower to cool before removing the fuel tank cap and refueling. A. FILLING THE FUEL T ANK Fill the fuel tank at the beginning of each operating da y to within one (1) inch below the filler nec k.

32 R Section 7 W ARNING Electric storage battery fluid contains sulfuric acid which is POISON and can cause SEvERE CHEMICAL BURNS. A v oid contact of fluid with ey es, skin, or cloth ing.
