16 Cable TV connections For basic C able TV service not requiring a Converter/ Descrambler bo x, connect the 75 ohm Coaxial Cable directly to the Antenna Jack on the back of the TV .
17 ENGLISH Starting setup The Starting Setup menu appears the first time you turn on the TV , and assists you to specify the Air/Cable setting, and program y our channels automatically .

20 Memorizing channels This TV is equipped with a channel memor y feature which allo ws channels to skip up or down to the next channel set into memory , skipping ov er unw anted channels. Before selecting channels, the y must be programmed into the TV’ s memor y .

22 Setting the V -Chip An age limitation can be set to restrict children from viewing or hearing violent scenes or pictures that y ou may choose to e xclude. The restriction applies to “TV Rating” and “Movie Rating” if this data is transmitted.

25 ENGLISH Pla yback procedure 1 Press TV/D VD to select DVD mode. 2 Place the disc in the disc slot with the label side facing f orward. (If the disc has a label.) Hold the disc without touching either of its surfaces, align it with the guides, and place it in position.
26 Special pla yback Fast Forward Playback Press SEARCH ( XX ) during normal playback. Each press of SEARCH ( XX ) will increase the speed of the search. • To resume normal playback, press PLAY . Review Playback Press SEARCH ( WW ) during normal playback.
27 ENGLISH Marking desired scenes The TV/DVD stores the points that you want to watch again up to 12 points. You can resume playback from each scene. Marking the scenes 1 Press MARKER during playback. 2 Select the blank Marker using ▲ / ▼ / ◀ / ▶ , then press ENTER at the desired scene.

30 Video Adjust menu From the Video Adjust menu you can adjust various settings that affect how the picture is presented. 1 Press SETUP during stop mode. HOME MENU will appear. 2 Press ▲ / ▼ / ◀ / ▶ to select “Video Adjust”, then press ENTER .

34 Y P b P r T o connect the LCD TV/D VD to a VCR with an S- Video cord If you connect a V CR with a S- Video cable to the S- VIDEO IN jack on the rear side of the unit, you must also connect the audio cables to the A UDIO IN jacks on the rear side of the unit.
