2 Importa nt Safety Instruction s 1. Read and understand all safety and operating instructions before the radio is operated. 2. 10 Using the radio for the first time A. AC operation 1. Pla ce your radio on a flat surfa ce. 2. Insert the ada ptor plug into the AC socket located on the ba ck of your radio ensuring that the plug is pushed fully into the socket. 3. Plug the other end of the ada ptor into the wall socket.
11 Operating your radio – Se arch tuning AM/FM 1. Press the Sta ndby button to switch on your radio. 2. Press the Ba nd button a s needed until the AM or FM band is selected.
12 Ma nual tuning – AM/FM 1. Press the Sta ndby button to switch on your radio. 2. Press a nd relea se the Band button to sele ct AM or FM ra dio mode.
13 Setting up the tuning step incre ment 1. Ma ke sure your radio is in power off mode. 2. Press and hold the Tuning control knob until the setting of time format begins to fla sh. 3. After setting up the time format, pre ss and relea se the T uning control to enter the step increment setting.
14 Display modes – FM Y our radio ha s a range of display option s for FM radio mode. 1. Repeatedly press a nd relea se the RDS button to view the RDS information of the station you are listening to. a. b. c. d. Note: If no RDS information is available, then the radio will only be able to display the frequency .
15 Presetting station s in AM/FM modes There are 5 preset stations ea ch for AM and FM ra dio. They are used in the sa me way for ea ch waveba nd. 1. Press the Sta ndby button to switch on your radio. 2. Press the Ba nd button to select the desired waveband.
16 Clock and Alarms Setting the time format The clock display used in sta nd-by mode and on the playing mode screens ca n be set to 12 or 24 hour format. The selected format is then also used when setting the alarms. 1. Ma ke sure your radio is in power off mode.
17 Setting the clock time ma nually 1. Press the Sta ndby button to switch on your radio. 2. Press a nd hold the CT button until the radio beeps once to enter the clock time setting, a nd the hour setting will begin to flash. The display will show “CLOCKSET”.

19 Setting the alarm clock Y our K-200 radio has two alarms which ca n each be set to wa ke you to AM/FM radio, buzzer alarm or voice messages. The alarms may be set while the unit is in standby mode or while playing. 1. Before setting a n alarm ensure that the clock ti me is set.
20 4. Rotate the T uning control to choose the required alarm type, and then press a nd relea se the T uning control to confirm the setting. The alarm can be set to buzzer , AM radio, FM ra dio or voice message (MSG1, MSG2 or MSG1+2). When radio mode is selected, the radio frequency and the preset number on the display will begin to fla sh.
21 When the alarm sounds T o cancel a sounding alarm, pre ss and hold the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button until the radio beeps once, a nd the display shows “ALR OFF”. And The LCD will return to normal display. When the buzzer alarm a ctivates, the alarm will start softly and gradually increa se in level.
22 Auto Off Timer Y our radio can be set to turn of f automatically after a preset time ha s ela psed. The Auto Off T imer setting can be adjusted between 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 minute s. 1. Press a nd hold the Standby button to enter the Auto Off Timer setting.
23 Egg Timer function 1. Press and rele a se the Egg timer button to enter the egg timer setting. The egg ti mer setting will start fla shing on the display . 2. Rotate the T uning control to adjust the minute setting during 1 and 120 minutes with 1 minute interval.
24 Display Brightness control The brightness of the display when the unit is in sta ndby mode may be adjusted. If you use the unit in the bedroom, you may prefer a lower sta ndby brightness level than the sta ndard setting. 1. Press a nd relea se the Backlight button to a djust the current brightness level of the LCD display .
25 Message function The message function ca n record and playba ck with 2 sets of voice message for 30 se conds each. 1. Press a nd hold the Message button to record the voice up to 30 seconds length. The LED is lighted during recording and the display will show “RECORD”.
26 Software version The software display ca nnot be altered and is just f or your reference. 1. Ma ke sure your radio is in power off mode (sta ndby mode). 2. Press a nd hold the Tuning control knob until the setting of ti me format begin s to flash. 3.
27 Auxiliary input socket A 3.5mm stereo Auxiliary Input socket is provided on the rear of your radio to permit a n audio signal to be fed into the unit from a n external audio device such a s iPod, MP3 or CD player. 1. Repeatedly press a nd release the Ba nd button until “AUX IN” is displayed.
