The speaker also allows you to hear your music when not using headphones. 2. Display Screen: This screen displays all the inform ation needed to operate your phone.

Once your phone is On, it displa ys “Looking for Service” which indicates that your phone is sear ch ing for a signal. When your phone finds a signal, it automatically enters standby mode – the phone’ s idle state.

Entering Text 32 Entering T ext Entering Text Selecting a Character Input Mode Y our phone provides convenient wa ys to en ter words, letters, punctuation, symbols, and numbers whenever you are prompted to enter tex t (for example, when adding a Contacts entr y or when sending t ext mess ages).

(T o select the T9 (English) mode when entering text, see “Selecting a Characte r Input Mode” above.) T9 T ext Input analyzes the letters you enter using an intuitive word databas e and creates a suit able word.
