Getting Started 12 Getting Started T urning Y our Phone On and Off T o turn your phone on: • Press and hold to turn your phone on. Once your phone is On, it displa ys “Looking for Service” which indicates that your phone is searching for a signal.
13 Getting Started Using Y our Phone’ s Batter y and Charger Battery Capa city Y our phone is equipped with a Lithiu m Ion (LiIon) battery . It allows you to recharge your battery before it is fully drained. The batter y provides approximately 3 hours of continuous digital talk time or approximately 8 days of cont inuous digital standby time.

21 Phone Basics • Hard Pause sends the next set of numbers when yo u press . • 2-Second Pause automatically sends th e next set of numbers after two seconds. Note : Y ou can have multiple pauses in a phone number and combine 2-second and hard pauses.
Phone Basics 22 Phone Basics Abbrev . Dial Abbreviated dialing allows you to progr am a five or six digit prefix for commonly used phone num bers. When abbreviate d dialing is on, you can enter th e last four or five digits of any phone number that matches the five or six digit pr efix, and the num ber is dialed.
23 Phone Basics Tip: If the desired entry contains more than one phone number , scroll left or right to display the number y ou wish to call and press to make the call. Using Speed Dialing Y ou can store up to 98 numbers in your phone’ s speed dial memory to make contacting frien ds and family as easy as pressing a few buttons.

Messaging 84 Messaging V oicemail Setting Up Y our Voicemail All unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. Therefore, you will want to set up your Voic email and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated.

Edit Signature The Edit Signature menu allows you to create a signa ture of up to 15 characters that is auto matically appended to all yo ur text messages.
