▶ E n g l i s h ❑ Using the INFO button (Now & Next guide) The display identifies the curr ent channel and the status of certain audio-video settings. The Now & Next guide shows daily TV pr ogramme information for each channel accor ding to the br oadcasting time.

◀ ▶ How to use Schedule Viewing in Channel List (digital channels only) When you set the Schedule Viewing in Channel List , you can only set the pr ogramme in Pr ogramme View . 1. Pr ess the CH LIST button, then select a desir ed digital channel. 2.
◀ ▶ Using Option Menu t Set each channel using the Channel List menu options ( Pr ogramme View , Edit Favourites, Lock/Unlock, Edit Channel Name, Edit Channel Number , Delete, Information, Sort, Edit Mode ). Option menu items may dif fer depending on the channel status.
◀ ▶ ● Pr ogramme View : Displays the programme when digital channel is selected. ● Edit Favourites : Set channels you watch fr equently as favourites. Add or delete the selected channel in Favourites 1 - 5 . 1. Select the Edit Favourites , then pr ess the ENTER E button.
◀ ▶ ● Lock/Unlock : Lock a channel so that the channel cannot be selected and viewed. N This function is available only when the Channel Lock is set to On . N The PIN input scr een appears. Enter your 4-digit PIN. Change the PIN using the Change PIN option.
◀ ▶ ● Edit Channel Number : Edit the number by pr essing the number buttons desir ed. N Some ar ea may not be able to support Edit Channel Name and Edit Channel Number function. ● Delete : Y ou can delete a channel to display the channels you want.

◀ ▶ ❑ Retuning Channels ■ Aerial (Air / Cable) t O MENU m → Channel → Aerial → ENTER E Befor e your television can begin memorising the available channels, you must specify the type of signal sour ce that is connected to the TV (i.e. an Air or Cable system).
◀ ▶ ■ Country (depending on the country) O MENU m → Channel → Country → ENTER E The PIN input scr een appears. Enter your 4 digit PIN number . ● Digital Channel : Change the country for digital channels. ● Analogue Channel : Change the country for analogue channels.
◀ ▶ ■ Auto T uning (depending on the country) O MENU m → Channel → Auto T uning → ENTER E Scans for a channel automatically and stor es in the TV . N Automatically allocated pr ogramme numbers may not corr espond to actual or desir ed pr ogramme numbers.
◀ ▶ When Aerial Sour ce is set to Air or Cable: When selecting Cable → Digital & Analogue or Digital : Pr ovide a value to scan for cable channels.
◀ ▶ – Fr equency : Displays the fr equency for the channel. (dif fers in each country) – Modulation : Displays available modulation values. – Symbol Rate : Displays available symbol rates.

◀ ▶ ■ T ransfer Channel List (depending on the country) O MENU m → Channel → T ransfer Channel List → ENTER E Imports or exports the channel map. Y ou should connect a USB storage to use this function. N The PIN number input scr een appears.

N NOTE ● In analogue TV , Ext., A V modes of the P AL system, the Tint (G/R) function is not available.

N When connecting a PC, you can only make changes to Gamma and White Balance .

◀ ▶ ■ Additional Settings O MENU m → Sound → Additional Settings → ENTER E ● DTV Audio Level (MPEG / HE-AAC) (digital channels only): This function allows you to r educe the disparity of a voice signal (which is one of the signals r eceived during a digital TV br oadcast) to a desir ed level.
◀ ▶ ● SPDIF Output f o r LE D, P D P T V : SPDIF (Sony Philips Digital InterFace) is used to pr ovide digital sound, r educing interfer ence going to speakers and various digital devices such as a DVD player . Audio Format : Y ou can select the Digital Audio output (SPDIF) format.
◀ ▶ ● Dolby Digital Comp (Line / RF) : This function minimizes signal disparity between a dolby digital signal and a voice signal (i.e. MPEG Audio, HE-AAC, A TV Sound). N Select Line to obtain dynamic sound, and RF to r educe the dif fer ence between loud and soft sounds at night time.
◀ ▶ ■ Speaker Settings O MENU m → Sound → Speaker Settings → ENTER E ● Speaker Select (Exter nal Speaker / TV Speaker) f o r LE D, P D P T V A sound echo may occur due to a dif fer ence in decoding speed between the main speaker and the audio r eceiver .
◀ ▶ ● Auto V olume (Off / Normal / Night) T o equalize the volume level on each channel, set to Normal . Night : This mode pr ovides an impr oved sound experience compar ed to Normal mode, making almost no noise.

◀ ▶ ● Y ou can attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV to an exter nal modem using a LAN cable. See the diagram below .
◀ ▶ ● Y ou can attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV to a IP Shar er which is connected to an exter nal modem. Use LAN cable for the connection. See the diagram below . * It may dif fer depending on the model.
◀ ▶ ● Depending on how your network is configur ed, you may be able to attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the LAN port on the back of your TV dir ectly to a network wall outlet using a LAN cable. See the diagram below . Note that the wall outlet is attached to a modem or r outer elsewher e in your house.
◀ ▶ Modems and r outers that support DHCP automatically pr ovide the IP addr ess, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS values your TV needs to access the Inter net so you do not have to enter them manually. Most home networks use a Dynamic IP addr ess. Some networks r equir e a Static IP addr ess.
◀ ▶ ■ Wir eless Network Connection T o connect your TV to your network wir eless, you need a wir eless r outer or modem and a Samsung W ireless LAN Adapter (WIS12ABGNX, WIS09ABGNX), which you connect to your TV’ s back or side panel USB port. See the illustration below .
◀ ▶ Samsung’ s W ireless LAN adapter is sold separately and is of fered by select r etailers and Ecommer ce sites. Samsung’ s W ireless LAN adapter supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g and n communication pr otocols. Samsung r ecommends using IEEE 802.
◀ ▶ ● T o use a wir eless network, your TV must be connected to a wir eless IP shar er (either a r outer or a modem). If the wir eless IP shar er supports DHCP , your TV can use a DHCP or static IP addr ess to connect to the wir eless network. ● Select a chan nel for the wir eless IP shar er that is not curr ently being used.
◀ ▶ ● If HIGH PURE THROUGHPUT (Gr eenfield) 802.11n mode is selected and the Encryption type is set to WEP or TKIP for your wir eless r outer , Samsung TVs will not support a connection in compliance with new W i-Fi certification specifications.

◀ ▶ If Y our TV Fails to Connect to the Inter net Y our TV may not be able to connect to the Inter net because your ISP has permanently r egister ed the MAC addr ess (a unique identifying number) of your PC or modem, which it then authenticates each time you connect to the Inter net as a way of pr eventing unauthorized access.
◀ ▶ ❑ Managing the Network Connected Devices f o r PD P 49 0 s e r i e s ■ Wi-Fi Dir ect O MENU m → Network → Wi-Fi Dir ect → ENTER E Set to connect the TV to wir eless mobile devices. Using this function, you can connect wir eless mobile devices with your TV dir ectly without a wir eless r outer .
◀ ▶ How to connect the device to your TV using Wi-Fi Dir ect function 1. Go to Wi-Fi Dir ect scr een. The TV starts to sear ch devices. 2. T ur n on the W i-Fi Direct function on your device. Select the desir ed device, and then pr ess the ENTER E button.
◀ ▶ ■ AllShar e Settings O MENU m → Network → AllShar e Settings → ENTER E Set whether to allow a network connected device like a smartphone or tablet to shar e content or contr ol TV using an application downloaded on your mobile device. ◀ ▶ – Manual : Set the curr ent time manually. N Depending on the br oadcast station and signal, the auto time set up may not be corr ect. In this case, set the time manually. Clock Set : Set the Date and Time . N A vailable only when Clock Mode is set to Manual .
