S ystem Setup English - 26 Initial Setup If you connected an external Audio System, turn on your Audio System and select AUX, CD or DVD. The OSD (On-Screen Display) displayed on the screen may vary depending on conditions such as the disc type and whether the disc has been inserted or not.
S ystem Setup English - 27 Setting Up the System Options Set T op Box Control If you have your cable box/satellite receiver(set top box) connected as shown on page 15, the box can be controlled after setting up this menu. 1. R ecording English - 38 Recording Mode Select one of four record modes by pressing the REC MODE button repeatedly for the desired recording time and picture quality while the unit is in Stop mode. In general, picture quality improves as the recording time decreases.
R ecording English - 39 Concerning Copy Control Signals TV broadcasts that contain copy control signals may have one of the following three signal types, COPY -Free, Copy-Once and Copy-Never . If you want to record a copy-once type program, use a DVD-RW disc with CPRM in VR Mode.

English - 49 P layback Using the Disc Menu & Title Menu Some discs contain a dedicated menu system that allow you to select special functions for the title, such as chapters, audio track, subtitles, fi lm previews, information on characters, etc.
English - 50 P layback No sound is heard during Scan(Search) mode except fast 1 playback (1.7X speed) mode. For CD(CD-DA), Y ou can hear sound during Scan mode. Y ou cannot hear audio while scanning an MPEG4. The speed marked while scanning may be different from the actual playback speed.
English - 51 P layback Using the ANYKEY Button The ANYKEY function allows you to easily search for a desired scene by accessing title, chapter , track, and time. Y ou can also change the subtitle and audio settings and set some features including Repeat, Angle, and Zoom.
