All rights reser ved Rev104 3.3 Display Panel Description The RS416 is equipped with a versatile display pane l, shown in Figure 1, which is designed to provide quick statu s information for each port, as well as the entire device to allow for simple diagnostics and troubleshooting.
9 2008 Rugge dCom Inc . All rights reser ved Rev104 The port-based LEDs can be cycled between three d isplay modes: Status, Duple x, and Speed. Pushing the mo de button causes the display mode to be cycled. Table 2 and Table 3 define the possible port LED colours and the corresponding de scription.
10 2008 Rugge dCom Inc . All rights reser ved Rev104 4 Inst all ation 4.1 Mounting The RS416 ha s been designed with maximum mounting a nd display flexibility. Customers can order an RS416 that can be mounted in a standard 19” rack, 1” DIN Rail, or directly on to a panel.

Se cure the one rack mount adapter to the front o f each side of the chassis using the included bla ck PAN head Philips screws in the positio ns shown in Figure 4.

19 2008 Rugge dCom Inc . All rights reser ved Rev104 4.4 Failsafe Alarm Relay Wiring The “Failsafe” outpu t relay is provided to signal critical error co nditions that may occur on the RS416. The conta cts are energized upon power up of the unit and remain energized un til a critical error occurs.
