Owner’s Manual Thank you, and congratulations on your choice of the Roland PM-30 Personal Monitor. Additionally, in order to feel assured that you have gained a good grasp of every feature provided by your new unit, Owner’s manual should be read in its entirety.

6 Checking the Package Contents The PM-30 comes with the following items. After opening the package, please check all items. If any items are missing, please contact the retailer from whom this product was purchased.
7 Attaching the Mount Bars and Clamps 1. As shown in the figure, turn the satellite speakers over and place them on the floor, then screw in the mount bars. * To protect the satellite speakers cosmetic appearance, place cloth or paper between the speakers and the floor surface when attaching mount bars.
8 Panel Descriptions Main Unit: Front Panel 1. PUNCH Switch Setting this switch to ON produces a dynamic drum sound while increasing the perceived power of the sound. Switch this on whenever needed. * The effect of this function is applied to the device connected to V-DRUMS/CH1.

10 Connections Setup Examples 1 Switching the Power On and Off Once the connections have been completed, turn on power to your various devices in the order specified. By turning on devices in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunction and/or damage to speakers and other devices.
11 Connections Setup Examples 2 (When Using the PM-30 as a Stage Monitor) This example shows how you can enjoy the fullest use of the PM-30’s array of input and output connections when using the unit as a stage monitor. You can monitor the V-Drums sounds and sounds from other sources, all simultaneously.
12 Setup Examples Setting Up with V-Drums Stands * Depending on the settings, the sounds output by the PM-30 may cause the V-Drums pads to trigger by mistake or otherwise operate incorrectly.
