48 Chapter 3 Pre-disassembly Instructions Before proceeding with the disassembly procedure, make su re that you do the following: 1. T urn off the power to the system and all peripherals. 2. Unplug the AC adapter and all power and signal cab les from the system.
Chapter 3 49 Disassembly Process IMPORT AN T : The LCD Module cannot be disassembled outside of facto ry conditions. If any part of the LCD Module is faulty , such as the camera, antenna or LCD panel, the whole module must be replac ed.

Chapter 3 91 Removing the CPU IMPORT AN T : The pins on the underside of the CPU are very delicate. If they are damaged, the CPU may malfunction. Place the CPU on a clean, dry surface when it is not installed. 1. See “Removing the Therma l Module ” on page 89.
