4 SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES Never direct a water stream toward people or pets, or any electrical device. Before starting any cleaning operation, close doors and windows. Clear the area to be cleaned of debris, toys, outdoor furniture, or other objects that could cr eate a hazard.

8 FEA TURES KNOW YOUR PRESSURE WASHER See Figure 1. The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the tool and in this operator’ s manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules .

12 ASSEMBL Y ADDING OIL TO THE ENGINE See Figure 10. NOTE: This machine has been shipped with appr oximately 2 oz. of oil in the engine from testing. Y ou must add oil to the engine before starting it the first time. CAUTION: Any attempt to start the engine without adding oil will result in engine failur e.
13 ASSEMBL Y CONNECTING THE GARDEN HOSE TO THE PRESSURE WASHER See Figure 12. The water supply must come from a water main. NEVER use hot water or water fr om pools, lakes, etc. Befor e connecting the garden hose to the pr essure washer: Run water thr ough the hose for 30 seconds to clean any debris from the hose.
14 ON O ON O OPERA TION APPLICA TIONS Y ou may use this tool for the purposes listed below: Removing dirt and mold from decks, cement patios, and house siding Cleani ng cars, boats, motorc ycles, outdoor furniture , and grills ST ARTING AND STOPPING THE PRESSURE WASHER See Figures 14 - 16.
15 OPERA TION USING THE SPRA Y WAND TRIGGER See Figure 17. For greater control and safety , keep both hands on the trigger handle at all times. Pull back and hold the trigger to operate the pressur e washer . Release the trigger to stop the flow of water through the nozzle.
16 OPERA TION WASHING WITH DETERGENT See Figures 20 - 21. Use only detergents designed for pr essure washers; house- hold detergents, acids, alkalines, bleaches, solvents, flam- mable material, or industrial grade solutions can damage the pump. Many deter gents may require mixing prior to use.
17 OPERA TION RINSING WITH THE PRESSURE WASHER T ur n off the pressur e washer and shut off the water supply . Pull trigger to release water pr essure. Engage the lock out on the trigger handle by pushing up on the lock out until it clicks into the slot.
18 MAINTENANCE WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may cr eate a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool operation or when blowing dust.
19 MAINTENANCE Fig. 26 NOZZLE CLEANING TOOL NOZZLE CHANGING THE OIL See Figure 24. Place a container under the pressur e washer . Remove th e oil drain plug and drain the old oil. NOTE: Drain the oil while the engine is still warm but not hot.
20 MAINTENANCE STORING THE PRESSURE WASHER See Figure 27. Store the pr essure washer with the gas tank empty by either draining the tank or running the pressure washer until the gas runs ou t. Allow 30 minutes of “cool down” time be for e storing the machine.
21 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION Engine fails to start 1. Engine switch is in the off position. 1. Move switch to start. 2. Fuel valve lever is OFF . 2. Move the lever to ON. 3. No fuel in tank. 3. Fill tank. 4. Spark plug shorted or fouled. 4.

23 W ARRANTY EMISSION COMPONENT DEFECT WARRANTY PERIOD The warranty period for this engine begins on the date of sale to the initial purchaser and continues for a period of 2 years. P ARTS COVERED Listed below are the parts covered by the Emission Components Defect Warranty .
24 W ARRANTY a) The warranty period begins on the date the engine is del iver ed to an ulti mate pur ch aser or fir st pl aced into serv ice . The warranty period is two years.
25 W ARRANTY When warranty repair is needed, the engine must be brought to an authorized service dealer or warranty station’ s place of business during normal business hours.
