7 DOUBLE INSULA TION Doubl e insu lation is a concep t in safety in ele ctric power tools, which eliminates the need for the usual three-wire grounded power cord. All exposed metal parts are isolated from the internal metal motor components with protecting insulation.

9 UNP ACKING INSTRUCTIONS Y our drill has been shipped completely assembled. n Carefully r emove the tool from the box. n Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. n Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
10 OPERA TION KEYLESS CHUCK See Figure 3. Y our new drill has a keyless chuck. As the name implies, you can hand tighten or release drill bit in the chuck jaws. Grasp and hold the collar of the chuck with one hand. Rotate the chuck body with your other hand.
11 OPERA TION TO INST ALL BITS See Figures 6 and 7. n Unplug your drill. WARNING: Fail ur e to unpl ug your drill could r esul t in acci denta l starting causing serious injury . n Open or close the chuck jaws to a point where the opening is slightly lar ger than the drill bit you intend to use .
12 OPERA TION DRILLING See Figures 8 and 9. n Depress and release switch trigger to be sure your drill is in OFF position before connecting it to power supply . n Check the direction of rotation lever for correct setting (forward or r everse). See Figure 4.
GENERAL Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. 14 CHUCK REMOV AL See Figures 10 - 12. T o remove the chuck: n Unplug your drill. WARNING: Fail ur e to unpl ug your drill could r esul t in acci denta l starting causing serious injury . n Insert a 8 mm (5/16 in.) or larger hex key into the chuck of your drill and tighten the chuck jaws securely .
