7 Connect and T urn on Connect the USB C able to the scanner , and connect the other end to the Apple USB charger included with y our iPad. Connect the Apple USB charger t o a power outlet. Long press the Power but ton t o tur n on the scanner . * The Power LED emits blue light.
8 Dock the iP ad Turn on your iPad. Hold your iPad and gently dock it to the Dock Connector. Make sure it sits firmly in place. Please be cautious when you doc k the iPad. Do not lean the iP ad forwar d as it and the Dock C onnector may be damaged. Make sur e the iPad bat tery has at least 20% capacity remaining.
9 Install and Access the i-Scan App When the i-Scan app is not installed, a message 'Application Not Installed' appears asking y ou to download the fr ee i-Scan app from the App Store. T ap ' Ye s ' to continue . T ap ' Install ' and enter your Apple ID (iT unes account) and passw ord when prompt ed.
10 Scan C AUTIONS: The paper thickness limit is 0.08mm ~ 0.6mm. Ex ceeding the recommended paper thickness limit may cause misf eed or jams. Scanning sharp objects, abrasive surf aces stapled paper can damage the lens and other par ts. T ap i-Scan app on your iP ad to open it.
11 Using the Photo Slee ve Use the Photo Slee ve when photos ar e fragile or small to a void damage or jams, and get the best result. Remo ve the plastic foil on the Slee ve, place the photo inside the Slee ve, insert the tongue into the hole at the open end.
12 C alibrate If dark lines or stripes appeared on the scanned image, please perf or m the calibration of y our scanner . T ap the iPad scr een. T ap the (Set tings) at the top-right cor ner of the app , tap the Calibrate .
13 Dir t and dust can build up inside the scanner and af fect image quality , please clean your scanner periodically to get the best r esult. Cleaning the Roller s T ap the iPad scr een. T ap the (Set tings) at the top-right cor ner of the app , tap the Clean .
14 Charge y our iP ad Befor e docking your iP ad, turn off the pow er of the scanner (the P ower LED emits no light). Dock y our iPad t o the scanner to star t charg- ing. The scr een will indicate its charging st a- tus. If your iP ad is not charging , make sure the power of the scanner is of f, r emove the iP ad, and dock it ag ain.
15 Helpful Hints No power . Check if the USB cab le is connected properly , and the scanner is turned on. The scanner will turn off automaticall y when the iPad connect ed is in sleep mode. T o resume the power , wake the iP ad, and then tur n on the scanner .
