30 C HAPTER T WO : TV O PERA TION TV O PERA TION Using the V -Chip The V -Chip feature automatically locks out programming that is deemed inappropriate for children. The user must first enter a PIN (personal ID number) before any of the V -Chip restrictions can be set up or changed.

(Eventually , movie videocassettes and DVDs will be encoded with MP AA ratings.

• Each T itle on a DVD can be divided into chapters (similar to tracks on an audio CD). • A DVD may contain several differ ent titles. For example, if a disc contains four differ ent movies, each might be considered a title.
