8 T elephone Jack Requir ements To use this phone with a landline, y ou need an RJ11C type modular telephone jack, which might look like the one pictured here, installed in your home. If y ou don’t have a modular jack, call your local phone company to nd out how to get one installed.

14 T o Uninstall the Software If you choose to uninstall the softwar e from the PC. 1. Go to the ST ART/Setting/Control Panel, choose the icon "Add or Remove Pr ograms". . Select "SKYLINK™ -in-1 Phone Utility" from the list and click [Remove] to uninstall.
15 Timer There ar e three programmable menus av ailable: Time Format , Clock and Alarm. 1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode). . Press the MENU (SKL) button and use the 6 or 5 button to scroll to TIMER . 3. Press the OK (SKL) button to enter the menu.
16 On/Off There ar e four options: Off, Once, Everyday, and Weekday. Off - Press the OK (SKL) button to conrm. Once, Everyday, and Weekday - Press the OK (SKL) button to enter the menu. Set the time using the keypad, then press OK (SKL) button to conrm.

NOTE: When English is selected, pr ess the OK (SKL) button if you would like to add an additional input language, (or Cancel (SKR) to use English character set only) then press the 6 or 5 button to scroll to French or Spanish character set and press the OK (SKL) button to confirm.
18 Message Waiting If you have subscribed to a voice messaging service, the green message light on the base will ash to alert you that you have messages waiting. T o hear y our messages, contact your voice messaging service provider . NOTE: F or quick dialing you can store the voice messaging service number on your phone.

Registration Y our handset is pre-r egistered and ready to use. It is not r ecommended that handset be register ed again unless absolutely necessary. From the HANDSET SE T TINGS menu; 1. Use the 6 or 5 button to scroll to REGISTRA TION . . Press the OK (SKL) button to enter the menu.
3 Select Base This option allows you to register a handset to mor e than one base and select which base it takes the signal from. The handset can also sear ch for the most suitable base automatically if Auto Base is selected. From the HANDSET SE T TINGS menu; 1.
4 Ringer Type This menu allows you to change the ringer tone (from 5 ring melodies) for the base. From the BASE SET TINGS menu; 1. Use the 6 or 5 button to scroll to RINGER TYPE . . Press the OK (SKL) button to enter the menu. 3. Use the 6 or 5 button to select the desired ring tone (1-5).
5 NOTE: If y ou select OK , all the settings in the programmable menu are r eturned to fact ory default setting. Y ou will hear a confirmation tone. Function 1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode). . Press the MENU (SKL) button and use the 6 or 5 button to scroll to FUNCTION .
6 Dial the number and then press th e (lan dli ne) or (speaker) bu tt on. NOTE: If y ou make a mistake, use the DELETE (SKR) button to backspace and delete one number at a time. . When nished, press the END C ALL button or place the handset in the base cradle to hang up.
7 Skype Call Use Skype to call other Skype users free of char ge. Make sure that Sk ype™ is installed and activated on your computer . 1. Press the ( Sk ype ) b utt on.
8 Answering a Call When a landline call is received, if y ou subscribe to Call Waiting Caller ID ser vice from your phone company, the phone number and name will appear . When an Skype call is received, the incoming Sk ype username or SkypeIn number will be shown on the LCD .
9 NOTE: Y ou can press the ( Sky pe) bu tton to terminate the ongoing Skype call and turn to the landline call or press the (la ndl ine ) button to release the landline line and turn to the Skype call. 3. When nished, press the END C ALL button to end both calls.
30 Dialing from Contacts 1. Press the CONT ACT (SKR) button, the rst entry in the phone book appears. (Or “No Records” if ther e are no entries.) - OR - Y ou can access the Phone Book through user menu. 1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).
31 Handset Speaker Phone Press the (speaker) button to activate or deactive the handset speaker . Key Lock To lock/unlock the handset k eypad press and hold the (#/P A USE/lock) button for seconds. NOTE: Incoming calls can still be r eceived and the alarm can be turned off by press any key.
3 Intercom Operation The intercom featur e allows you to have a conversation with another r egistered handset without tying up the telephone line, allowing you to still receiv e incoming calls. Handset to Handset Int ercom Call 1. Make sure the originating phone is OFF (not in talk mode).

4 T roubleshooting Guide For got Base PIN If you have for gotten your base PIN, use the following procedur e to reset the units. NOTE: ALL MEMORY AND SET TINGS WILL BE LOST . Disconnect line cord and A C power adaptor . Hold the P A GE button and reconnect A C power adaptor (in-use LED will be on).
43 No sound from handset • Adjust handset volume. • Check and adjust sound settings in Skype, under "Sound Devices". Y ou experience static, noise, or fading in and out • The handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to the base.

45 Skype Ring Delay • When mak ing a Skype-IN call, the landline callers hears or more rings befor e the P C/Handset starts to ring. This is a network connection problem. Poor Sound Quality • Choppy, drop-outs, static, echo during Skype call is an indication of network connection problem.
46 Causes of Poor Reception • Aluminum siding. • Foil back ing on insulation. • Heating ducts and other metal constr uction that can shield radio signals. • You’re too close to appliances such as micr owaves, stov es, televisions, entertainment centers, etc.
