40 Troubleshooting Low volume or unusual sounds. Someone has picked up another phone on the same line. Hang up the other phone. Y our conversa- tion is difficult to hear due to dropout or mut- ing.
41 Troubleshooting The handset battery pack does not charge. Check the charging con- tacts on the handset and base. If they are dirty , clean them with a pencil eraser . Be sure the battery pack is connected correctly . Be sure the handset is properly seated on the base.
Care 42 If you still have problems, disconnect the phone. If other ph ones on the same line work properly, the fault is in this phone or its installation.
