5 PREP ARA TI ON CONNECTING POWER Plug th e clock radio’s po wer cord into a standard AC outlet. The display flas hes. Note: The powe r cord’s plug is polarized (one si de is larger than the other). I f it does not fit, t urn it over. Do not f orce it.
6 Notes: • T o prevent unneces sary drain on the ba ckup batt ery , plug in the AC powe r cord before you install the battery . • The cloc k’ s displ ay does no t l i ght while operating f rom battery backup p ower , but the clock k eeps time for up to 8 hours.

8 • Set th e volume to the lowest sett ing before y ou begi n listening. After you b egin listening , adjust the volume to a comf ort able level. • Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extend ed high volume listeni ng c a n lead to permanent hearing loss.
9 RADIO O PERA TI ON 1. Set VOL UME countercl ockwise to it s mini mum se tting. 2. Set ON/ OFF/A UTO/ ALARM to ON to turn on the radio. 3. Set AM/FM to you r desired band. 4. Adju s t VOLUME as de sire d. 5. Adju st T UNING to tune to your desired station.

13 Notes: • T he indicator on the lower lef t corner of t he display lights when the alarm is turned on. • I f you do not turn of f the alarm, the buzzer or radio soun ds for 1 hour , 59 minutes. • I f you press ALARM SE T to silence the alarm, t he alarm soun ds again the next day at the preset ala rm time.

After 1 h our and 59 m inutes, the alarm buzzer or radio doe s not come on ag ain until the next day a t the preset alarm t ime. • If BA TTERY SE NTINE L lights wh en y ou press SNOOZE , the backup battery is getting low .
15 For a playing time of 59 minute s or l ess , press and hold down SLEEP . Then repeatedly press (or press and hol d) MINUTE until the displ ay shows the de sired minu te setting . For a playing time between 1 hour and 1 hour, 59 minutes , press an d hold down SLEEP .

17 MAINTENANCE The following s uggestions will help you care for your clock radio so you can enjoy it f o r years. • Use only a fresh battery of the required size and type. • K eep the clock radio dry . If i t gets wet , wipe it dry imme- diate ly .
