10 IGNIT ION SWITCH ON STO P Cho k e Lever 1. Mov e ON/ ST OP s witc h to the ON posi- tion. 2. P ull choke/ fast idle lever out to the full ext ent (to the FULL CHO KE pos ition). 3. S lowly pr ess primer bulb 6 t imes. 4. P ull the start er rope shar ply 5 times with your right hand.
11 OPERA TING TIPS S Chec k chain t ension before firs t use and after 1 minute of oper ation. See CHA IN TENSION in the ASSEMBL Y sect ion. S Cut w ood only . Do not c ut metal, plas tic s, masonry , no n-wood b uildin g materi als, etc. S Stop the s aw if the c hain str ikes a foreign object.

15 Replac e guide bar w hen the gr oove is w orn, the guide bar is b ent or c rac ked, or w hen ex - c ess hea ting or burr ing of the rails oc curs . If re - plac ement is nece ss ary , use only the guide bar s pecified for y our saw in the rep air parts lis t or on the decal loc ated on the c hain saw.
16 5. R eplace wit h Champion RCJ - - 7Y spark plug and tighten sec urely w ith a 3 / 4 inch (19 mm) s ock et wr ench. Spar k plug gap should be 0.025 inc h (0,6 mm). 6. R einstall the s park plug boot. 7. R einstall the c ylinder c over and 3 sc rews .
17 S Clean air filter . S Chec k entir e unit for loos e s crew s, nuts , and bolts. Replac e any damaged, brok en, or worn part s. S At the beginning of the nex t seas on, use only f resh fuel hav ing the proper gas oline to oil ratio. OTHER S Do not s tore gas oline from one seas on to another .
