9 FUELING & LU BRICA TION W ARNING: Remove fuel cap slowly when refuel ing. FUE LING E NGINE This engine is cer tified to oper ate on un- leaded gasoline. Befor e operation, gasol ine must be m ixed wi th a good quali ty synthetic 2-cycle air-cooled engi ne oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1.
10 NOTE: If the engine sounds as if i t i s tr y- ing to sta rt before the 5 th pull, stop pulling and imm ediately proceed to the next step. 6. Push the c hoke knob i n completel y (t o the OFF position) ; pull the s tarter rope until the engine starts .
11 S Allow the chain to cut for you. Exer t only li ght downward pr essure. If you force the cut, damage to the bar , chain, or engi ne can r esult. S Release the throttle trigger as soon as the cut i s c ompleted, al lowing the en- gine to idle.
