B efore operation, gasoline mus t be m ixed with a good qualit y synthe tic 2-cycle a ir- coole d engine oil designed to be mi xed at a ratio of 40:1.

14 Cleaning the air filter: A dirty air filt er dec reases engine perf orm- ance and increas es fuel consumpt ion and harmful emi ssi ons. Always c lean after 15 tanks of fuel or 5 hours of operation, whic h- ever comes f irst. Clean more frequently in dusty condit ions.
15 Replace guide bar w hen t he groove is worn, the guide bar is bent or cr acked, or when exce - ss heating or burring of the rails occurs. If re- placement is necessary , use only the guide bar specified for your saw in the repair parts list or on the decal locat ed on the chain saw .
