14 Mow ing SWEEPING - - The fanning ac tion of the rotat- ing line can be us ed for a quic k and eas y clean up. Keep the line parallel to and above the sur faces being s wept and move t he tool from s ide to side.

16 SERVIC E AND ADJUSTMENTS REPLACING THE LINE 1. Pres s t he tabs on t he side of the trimmer head and remove c over and s pool. Ta b Cove r Ta b Spool 2. Remov e any remaining line. 3. Clean dir t and debris from all parts. R e- place s pool if it is w orn or damaged.
17 10. Ins ert the ends of the lines through exit holes in t he sides of the c over. Line exit hole Cover 1 1. R einstall the s pool and c over onto the trimmer head. P ush until c over snaps into place. REPLACING THE TRIMMER HEAD 1. Hold the dus t cup w ith a wrenc h to keep the shaf t from turning w hile removing and installing t rimmer head.
18 CARBURETO R IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT WAR N I N G: K eep others aw ay w hen making idle s peed adjustments . The trimmer head or any optional attachment w ill be s pin- ning during most of this proc edure. Wear y our protec tive equipment and obs erve all safety prec autions.
