4 PRECA UTIONS • Do not use the monitor near water , e.g. near a bathtub , washbowl, kitchen sink , laundry tub, swimming pool or in a w et basement. • Do not place the monitor on an unstable cart, stand, or table. If the monitor falls, it can injure a person and cause serious damage to the appliance .
5 SPECIAL NO TES ON L CD MONITORS The following sympt oms are normal with L CD monitor and do not indicate a problem. NO TES • Due to the nature of the uoresc ent light, the screen ma y icker during initial use. T ur n o the Po wer Switch and then turn it on again t o make sure the icker disappears.
6 INST ALLA TION INSTRUC TIONS ST AND BASE INST ALLA TION The monitor is supplied complete with a stand .I f you pref er to wall mount the monitor , please follow the instructions on page 21 to remo ve the stand. Be sure t o include the stand with the monitor if it is necessary to return the unit.
7 C ONTROLS AND C ONNEC T ORS POWER C ORD Po wer Sourc e: 1. Make sure that the power c ord is the correct type required in y our area. 2. This L CD monitor has an internal universal power supply that allo ws operation in either 100/120V AC or 220/240V A C voltage area (No user adjustment is r equired.
8 ADJUSTING THE VIEWING ANGLE • F or optimal viewing it is recommended to look at the full fac e of the monitor , then adjust the monitor’ s angle to your own pref erence . • Hold the stand so you do not topple the monitor when y ou change the monitor’ s angle.
9 | OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Press the po wer button to turn the monitor on or o . The other control buttons are locat ed at front panel of the monitor (See F igure 4). By changing these settings, the picture can be adjusted to your personal pr eferenc es.
10 FRONT P ANEL CONTROL • Pow er Button: Press this butt on to switch ON/OFF monitor’ s power . • Pow er Indic ator: Blue — Po wer On mode. Orange —O mode.
11 HOW TO ADJUST A SETTING 1. Press the MENU-butt on to activate the OSD window . 2. Press + or - t o navigate thr ough the functions. Once the desired function is highlighted, press the MENU-button to activate it. If the function selected has a sub-menu, press + or - again to navigat e through the sub-menu functions.

14 PL UG AND PL A Y Plug & Play DDC2B F eature This monitor is equipped with VESA DDC2B capabilities according to the VESA DDC ST ANDARD . It allows the monitor to inform the host sy stem of its identity and, depending on the level of DDC used, communica te additional information about its display capabilities .
