FTP FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is used to transfer files over a TCP/IP network, and is typically used for transferring large files or uploading the HTML pages for a Web site to the Web server. Gateway Gateways are computers that convert protocols enabling different networks, applications, and operating systems to exchange information.
53 NAT NAT (Networ k Address Translation - also known as IP masquerading) enables an organization to present itself to the Internet with one address. NAT converts the address of each LAN node into one IP address for the Internet (and vice versa).
RTS RTS (Request To Send) is a signal sent from the transmitting station to the receiving station requesting permis sion to transmit data. Server Servers are typically powerful and fast machines that store programs and data. The programs and data are shared by client machines (workstations) on the network.
