10 ENGLISH PREP ARING FOR USE Machine Packaging The original packaging has been designed and constructed to protect the machine during transport. W e recommend keeping the packaging material for possible future transport. Machine Installation 1 Remove the drip tray with g rill and the carafe from the packaging.
11 ENGLISH 11 5 Lift the left outer lid. 7 Rinse the water tank with fresh water . 8 Fill the tank with fr esh drinking water up to the MAX level and plac e it back into the machine.

13 ENGLISH 13 HEA TING UP … 3 The machine is in warm-up phase. Automatic Rinse/Cleaning C ycle When warm-up is complete, the machine aut omatically per forms a rinse/ self-cleaning c ycle of the internal circuit with fr esh water . This takes less than a minute.
14 ENGLISH Manual Rinse Cy cle Y ou need to perform a rinse c ycle when using the machine for the rst time. During this process , the co ee brewing c ycle is activated and fresh water ows through the dispensing spout. This takes a few minutes.
15 ENGLISH 15 INSERT PREGROUND COFFE E AND PRESS OK 6 When choosing the product, the machine asks you to con rm that the ground co ee has been inser ted. Press the “ ” button . The machine will start dispensing water from the dispensing spout.

26 ENGLISH Saeco Adapting S ystem Co ee is a natural product and its characteristics may change according to its origin, blend and roast. The machine is equipped with a self-adjusting system that allows the use of all types of co ee beans available on the market except f or caramelized and avoured co ee beans.
27 ENGLISH 27 2 The ref erence marks in the co ee bean hopper compartment indicate the grind setting. There are 5 di erent grind settings to choose from position 1 for coarse grind - lighter tast e to position 2 for ne grind - bolder taste.
28 ENGLISH Adjusting the Dispensing Spout The height of the dispensing spout can be adjusted to better t the dimen- sions of the cups that you wish to use. Move the dispensing spout up or down with your ngers to adjust its height as shown in the image.
29 ENGLISH 29 Adjusting the C o ee Quantity The machine allows y ou to adjust the amount of brewed co ee or milk ac- cording to y our taste and the size of your cups .
30 ENGLISH ESPRESSO BREWING C OFFEE Before br ewing the co ee, make sure that there are no warnings shown on the display , and that the water tank and co ee bean hopper are lled. Co ee Brewing U sing Co ee Beans 1 Place 1 or 2 cups under the dispensing spout.
31 ENGLISH 31 Co ee Brewing U sing Pre-Ground Co ee This function allows you to use pr e -ground and deca einated co ee. With the pre-ground co ee func tion you can only brew one co ee at a time. 1 Place a cup under the dispensing spout.
32 ENGLISH 8 Press the “ ” button . After the prebrewing cycle, c o ee begins to pour out of the dispensing spout. After brewing, the machine r eturns to the main menu. Repeat the steps described above t o brew more co ees using pre -ground co ee.
