12 Camera Features In addit ion to basic pi cture-taki ng, the O ptio M20 has a var iety of shooti ng modes to suit dif ferent situat ions. This sect ion describes how to make the most of t he key feat ures of your camera. To gether wit h the expl anations of camera operations, it will enable you t o enjoy your camera to the full.

26 1 Getting Started Instal ling the SD Memory Card This ca mera uses a n SD Memory Card . Captured imag es and soun d files are saved on th e SD Memory Card if a card is inserted in the camera. They are saved in the bui lt-in memory if a card is no t inserted.

28 1 Getting Started Precautio ns When Using an SD Memory Card • The SD Memory Card is equ i pped with a write-protect switch. Setting the switch to LOCK protects the existing data by prohibiting recording of new data, deletion of existing data or formatting of the card.

71 4 Taking Picture s E F F ( H G G ) In E (Pet m ode ), your m oving pet is ke pt in focus while you take the pic ture, allowing you to capture the color of your pet's coat. Choose the appropriate icon depending on what color your pet is (cl oser to black or white or in between).
