12 Camera Features In addition to basic pictur e-taking, the Optio E70 has a variety of shooting modes to suit different situations. This section describes how to make the most of the key features of your camera. Together with the explanations of camera operations, it wil l enable you to enjoy your came ra to the full.
13 When you ta ke a pi ctur e with t he Opt io E70, you can choose from a wide ran ge of fun frame s to c reate attra ctiv e fram ed shots (p.81). Yo u can also add frames t o pi ctur es y ou have tak en a nd ad jus t t he position of the subject in the picture or reduce or enlarge t he picture size to match the frame sha pe and size.
14 With t he Optio E70, you can d isplay reco rded images by date in calendar format (p. 109). This lets you qu ickly find the image yo u want to play back. The Optio E70 has a var iety of function s to let you enjoy playin g back and edit ing i mages with out having to connect the camer a to your computer and tr ansfer the images fir st.

26 1 Getting Started Attaching the Strap Attach the strap (O-S T51) supplied with the cam era. 1 Pass the narrow end of the strap through the strap lug.

32 1 Getting Started Instal ling the SD Memory Card This camera uses either an SD Memory Card or an SDHC Me mory Card. (Both card s are referred to as SD Memory Cards herea fter.) Captured images are saved on the SD Memory Card if a card is insert ed in the camera.

34 1 Getting Started Precautio ns When Using an SD Memory Card • T he SD Memory Card is equipped with a write- protect switch. S etting the switch to LOCK prevents new data from being recorded on the card, the stored data from being delet e d, and the card from being formatted by the camera or computer.
